As a person that is still getting comfortable with my Mainship 41 Mediterranean, I will say this. I took 4 different boating courses, licensed as a Captain and a few months of getting in and out of my slip several times a day and outwater maneuvering to make sure I don't sink or hurt others. Doing it solo. I have not run into anyone like these people. But it scares me that they are out there.

I don't know what country you live in but in most English-speaking countries the front of the boat is spelled (BOW) even Grammarly spellchecker spells it this way and the dictionary does.

I have seen so many people try to run an outboard with their right hand on the tiller, being right handed. The proper way is to sit on the right side of the boat and steer with the left hand on the tiller handle. That is why the shifter lever on older outboards is on the right side (starboard) so you can shift it with ease. Also with the tiller being on the left side (port) it gives you more room to sit down.

Just an FYI fir you Bro. On a vessel on a lake or at sea, the things landlubbers call ropes are called lines by mariners. Also, there are few if any states in the USSA that mandate a boaters license and that's depending on the size and intent of the skipper. Too bad all states don't have mandatory licensing requirements cause the waters of the USA would become infinitely safer. USCG has a power squadron course for novice to mediocre helmsmen that shows the way to operate a power boat or blow boat correctly and shows you etiquette and handling tips that should last you to zero BP.
