1:45 the reason people like Louis is because he tends to replace violet in the scenes if she's taken instead. For example when she shoots Minerva to save Clem for Louis he would kill the woman who AJ bit their ear off to save Clem.

@@AN7_yt in my play through it seemed like he was a more thought out character, he also did some funny shit when you have the chance to go to the library with him I won't disclose because its hella spoilers if you wanna replay and if you go down his path he is generally a more loyal and better character, I would replay the game and go down the Louis path the game is not super different but in the scenes where you had violet you will see a stark contrast in how they act with there character. Like if you let violet get captured she will strait up just join Minnie and Lilly. If you don't confess your love for her, Louis is just the strait up G.

If you chose the Louis path and save him, etc, he basically serves the same as Violet. But the reason why people tend to like him more is because even after saving Violet, he still is relieved to see Clem and hugs her, even after getting his tongue cut off. If you save Louis, Violet gets mad and attacks Clem. When Minerva gets hurt by Clem, Violet starts to sulk over her and yells angrily at Clem. Also, Louis forgave Clem and let her and Aj come back to the school 1 night after Aj murdered his best friend.

Many people judge Louis's character without understanding his personality. He is kind and considerate of the feelings of others. What happened to him in the first episode, losing his bes friend, caused him shock. I can't blame him. After that, he apologized and became close to clem and aj . And the things that Violet did, Louis did in episodes 3 and 4, but Louis is better and a song. Don't be afraid. Louis playing it on the piano was a wonderful scene, I am a fan of Louis and Clem and their relationship, with the cute date in the third episode

btw if u saved Louis u would have seen why people love him so much (me too). He stands up for group as he never did when Marlon was leading which he regretted. Looks out of AJ like a dad helps and cares for us at every opportunity (even when we kill his best friend when he asks for AJ's gun he gives it back worrying about his safety). Still cares for you even tho you left him and saved Violet whereas if you save Vi she turns her back and backstabs us into Minerva's trap. And he balances Clem's harsh survivor side with is more "human" side and overall is a good guy and father/Brother figure for AJ and a good friend or lover (depending upon you) for Clem unlike "GaBe" Well I dwelled too much but yea that's why😅

@@err_what Uh, no that's not what happen. Violet was trying to stop Clem from getting everyone killed, including Clem. The game director even confirmed that's what Violet tried to do on Tumblr. It's unbelievable how many of you dummies misread the situation. Both Violet and Louis gets mad at Clementine while the other is happy to see Clem between episode 2 and 3, so don't try it. Besides, Violet's action is far more justified than Louis's action of kicking Clem and AJ out to die. Because Violet was given an ULTIMATUM, while Louis was given a CHOICE.

Comic lore that nobody asked for: The reason James is so mentally deficient (sorry James) is because his old group the Whisperers are a pretty sick group. Not only do they wear walker skin but they formed a primitive society where no one uses their names and only use pack order names like the Alpha and Beta. The Alpha when James was part of their group was never challenged and when she was, no one in the group would back the challenger resulting in Alpha killing them putting greater fear in the members. Even signs of weakness of any kind would result in instant death. The “you’re kind” line from James in episode 4 (yes it did almost sound racist lmao) was a line showing how the whisperers always viewed humans as animals who pretended they weren’t, trying to hold onto a world that died a long time ago. Members of the whisperers would even assault women in the group and they were expected to defend themselves, it happened so often some victims never considered it assault rather a social construct. One of the whisperers worst acts was sneaking into a community and kidnapping multiple people without anyone realizing they gone missing and when they did, they found all of their heads cut off and out on spikes placed as a border between the community’s land and the whisperers land. When this community retaliated (Michonne and Jesus’ group) it’s implied James witnessed the war although he was never in the comics and left. That was the life he had to grow up with for a time

@@AN7_yt Actually no. By the time James left, the war wiped out most of the Whisperers including the Alpha. If anything, they would have assumed James died in the carnage cause again, they don’t use names and don’t show any signs of emotions between each other. The few whisperers that remained grouped up under Betas command and actually even tried to attack Jesus and another survivor he was with named Aaron while they were travelling from one community to another a few weeks after the war ended. You can probably guess who won that fight lol
