I see guys want to know the coach's style of play. Guys Sundowns has a set style of play "shoe shine and piano". The coach is working on the defensive side of the same shoe shine and piano and his teaching them how to retain the ball when you have to maintain the game. The previous coach wanted to change the culture and style of play all together and it costed him his job because we were running like headless chickens which exposed the slowness of our defenders when we lost the ball. Cardoso keeps the same shoe shine and piano yaka Pitso and Rhulani but makes the defensive block better so mina angaz ukuthi nifuna ukubona ini. Also you forget that we are playing club world cup next year, we will frustrate these European teams with our style of play because they like running and hence I defense has to be on par because they'll be running at us.

Lindo is raising very important points here. The leadership of the PSL keeps ignoring the issue but honestly this play off thing is a problem. Richard's Bay haven't learnt much and although the involvement of Phakwe Gas in football is a positive, they clearly don't understand football because they made a blunder and fired Coach Kanu Vilakazi when there wasn't time after the play offs to find new players and a new coach. The standard from lower teams should improve. Sundowns fielded a second string team because they knew they would win....
