Sundowns will go even stronger than before ,, I remember when Pitso was failing to deliver @Sundowns , we wanted him to be fired we were tired of him. Then Manqoba was brought to Sundowns and things changed, nobody praised Manqoba but instead Pitso took all the glory. When Rulani came back to this team, Sundowns was already a very good oiled machine and he took over.. We saw him doing well because he was in the team like Sundowns where they buy you good players and you must do well ke... Agreed, Mangqoba is very crucial on how Sundowns players train and remain fit. But I don't think his tactical prowess can carry the team through the Champions league. Rhulani's strength is his tactical awareness, very dynamic and engages with players during the match. Some people even argue that Sundowns plays under him better compared when Pitso was at helm. And surely it plays better than when we had three musketeers. Sundowns will surely feel the shock of loosing Rhulani, especially the way he is leaving. The boy was just half-way with this project and the team was almost impossible to defeat it. I just don't like how Pitso, Steve and Rhulani left. Something really doesn't add up.

I’ve seen players arrive at Downs and struggle all season long but the coaches persisted with them despite haters. Maboe struggled for a long time and Pitso continued with him. I had to eat humble pie when I saw Maboe’s game change before my eyes. He became one of my favourite players and was a Bafana regular too. The same goes for Mvala who is now one of the best defenders in SA. Why the lack of patience when it comes to Lorch?! Not all players hit the ground running. It’s a versatile and demanding style of play at Downs. They’re going to the CWC because of it. So if Lorch was one of the reason, it was sadly shortsighted by the young Motsepe.

Rhulani won the league practically in December but not mathematically.He had a chance to give young players and other fringe players a chance while resting players and preparing for other cups.Instead he chose to break league records.Trophies make coaches great.Good football and records are just cherry on top. Manqoba will also struggle to win CAFCL..Pirates plumber is no longer a push over for Sundowns. Chiefs ,AmaZulu ,Galaxy have foreign coaches who have potential to give Sundowns problems. Rhulani ,Manqoba and Steve have made winning seem so easy that Sundowns is taking winning for granted. Big budget does not guarantee results.

We all love Rhulani but lets face it, he failed. I mean Sundowns has a monopoly over the signing of local players. The management too supported him by getting the best, the likes of Ribeiro, Allende, Mendieta etc. They just won the league six in the row and the seventh was only going to be a foregone conclusion for the team that has invested so much. The objective has always been to win the CAFCL. It proved elusive. To add salt to wound, he lost MTN and Nedbank, all against Pirates. You would recall that Pirates is the team that always forced changes at Sundowns and losing the Nedbank was not going to be neglected. His failure was that attempt to go for that "invincible status"and he forgot that he had an upcoming important CAFCL game. As a result the likes of Mokoena, a key player got injured. It killed the momentum because he's a key player there. And then now you have litigation against TS Galaxy coach which is dragging the team in another negative space. All of these play a big role. I think the club came to conclusion that maybe Rhulani lacked the experience to win the CAFCL. You saw in the game that they lost against Esperance that it takes more than just playing well to win that CAFCL cup.
