FYI. Dogs start from Anchorage as ceremonial start. They are then DRIVEN next day in trucks to Willow where the real start begins. The lake is frozen so they go right across lake.

100%, thanks for pointing that out. Now that I've been able to watch the actual coverage for the Iditarod, I was wrong about a lot of things LOL.
