Don't worry, just keep up the good work! I learned this piece in just under a week (this week) in an ensemble and performed it today. It's not that hard, come to think of it, it just looks hard because the notes are intimidating, sometimes. Once you have it down by heart though, it won't be so hard to not only play, but to also improve. Just taking away all the music and working what I already know is the best way to practice for me, I'll close my eyes and make it more musical. Good luck!

*Sigh, I like the piece, but it is just so annoying that our new music teacher knows nothing about our abilities as high school players... He gives us this easy stuff for the "Concert Orchestra", then forces us to take Full Orchestra as a zero hour and we play Beethoven's 5th Symphony in there... Oh, and all we really do in OUR class is play the 5th and spend five minutes on this at the end of class... *Rant Over* Oh, and Basses rule! #BassPower
