im filipino and i am content of what i am. if my skin is dark so be it! if my hair is curly so be it! i am made the way i am and i'm happy with it. you are right about the beggars. what i really hate with our culture is, a lot of filipinos are not a fan of change! people here usually do things they usually do and do not tend to improve for the better. i am one of those who "it is what it is" is not on my book thought. there's always a choice to become better than what we are now today

Just "go with the flow" brother. Its just the way it is here. I will admit, not everything is perfect here in the Philippines thats just the way it is. We can't change anything about it, for now. Its all been that way for a long time, since who knows when? Its very common here that we address someone we don't know with sir or ma'am. Even among us Filipinos, we use sir or ma'am (especially in work or costumer service conversations), "a-te" (older sister) or "kuya" (older brother) even though we are not related regardless of age. Many times among us we use to address "boss" even we are not work related. We just use them to show respect. Those jumbled wires are really telephone and internet cables. They are rolled mainly for future connection to subscribers. Maybe sooner or later that wooden pole will be replaced with concrete poles, but dont wait for it yet. Just go on with your life and enjoy. You still have a lot to know about the culture. Welcome to the Philippines, sir. 😁😄😀

Thankyou for watching. Yes filipinos in general are very polite, now I know what the wires are lol and I am overall enjoying the culture!

It's the same in other countries with poor merchants or poor people around tourist areas.

They are more observations in a new environment. Things to note, but I agree its all part of the travelling experience!

Our country is still a 'developing' nation - used to be the pearl of the orient when it was a colony of the US before the war. Was ahead in all of Asia till the end of the 60s... and then socialist policies came and it went downhill from there. Try BGC - although its just a bubble.
@justforkndoitАй бұрын
Thankyou, I have plans to visit BGC later next year..

Thats exactly happened if you dont research first 😂😂😂 dont expect to much from a developing country, expect less and live a simple life. Thats how it is in here in order to survive. Do not compare it from where you came from 😂😂😂

Find another place to rent if you can. Don't rent there. stay in the hotel then find a decent place not that. I'll leave if I were you. I'm from Philippines but this is ridiculous. Don't be a bait. watch out. Ignore those people. Maybe try Thailand or Indonesia. It might be better for you. Thank you anyway for stopping by.

Thankyou for watching, I would like to visit those places for a more balanced view
