Good job, a piece of advice though... i see that you are planting the dwarf varieties if am not mistaken...if that's the case, I suggest, to better utilize the land, plant the trees close by, say at a spacing of 6*6...with that spacing you would have more trees per acre at younger age which implies increased production yield per acre...as trees grow and requiring more space, you remove the trees in between every 12 metres.... eventually your spacing would be12*12...though you would have fewer trees per acre, the deficit would be compensated with bigger trees producing more Kgs per tree...

As someone, who lived in South America and Australia, Cashew nuts is a solid investment. Can easily be in an agroforestry set up, with small animals like goats, geese and Guinea fowl. Wish him all the success and Harvest.

Congratulations David. Indeed you are a risk taker. We have always been made to believe that cashew nuts can only grow in coast. I will try with some few trees.

Its interesting how he found local nuts and growing and decided to propagate them. Wish he could have talk more about that more. What were the initial wild nuts look like and the process of propation. Did he get the wild nut trees and propagate them with with which trees. What benefits do the wild nut trees have. could they be more disease resistant, grow faster, create a different variety of cashew etc

The spacing from one tree to the next is 10mtrs. That is so much space. Yes you can. Paw paws too, or even pineapples, if they grow well in that region.
