I was stationed in South Korea and wanted to get a tattoo done out there (I had a sleeve going). I found this artist that did a BEAUTIFUL day of the dead skull on my arm and idk how I found him but when I showed up to the appointment and had to be escorted to a room in a building that was super secretive. Blessed to have had that experience.

@washyrose59043 жыл бұрын
@here's my opinion • 75 years ago I think that completely misses the point OP is trying to make. It’s not the tattoo, it’s the experience of getting one by someone that inspires you. You get marked permanently by that person. Knowing what we know about Grace, and how meaningful an experience tattooing is for her, it means getting a tattoo from her is getting one from someone who will reciprocate that feeling. But if a tattoo is just a picture to you, I doubt she’ll be as enthusiastic.

That is so crazy..a parent not speaking to their own child for 5 years because of a tattoo! I'm extremely grateful that my grandparents both had tattoos literally everywhere, and it was looked at as art, and being beautiful from my grandfather, yes he has a sketchy past, but he was also an artist. Neither of my parents have tattoos, my brother got a tattoo first at 17, when I was 9 and my mom got over the initial shock of okay now my kid has one, my sister has none, and the day I turned 18 I came home with 1, and have slowly added, and so has my brother. I think all tattoos are art, but big pieces done really well are so beautiful! Gracey is showing the beauty around the world, and she is amazing!!

I couldn't imagine having a conversation like that with my parents. Being genuinely afraid of what your parents might think/or what society might view you as if you put art on your body. My mother is almost completely covered with tattoo's and I am not too far behind. I've been getting tattooed since I was 15. I guess I'm very fortunate that the culture I was raised by views tattoos as a great spiritual importance/ritual.

This is a beautiful video although I find it kind of odd that there's not Korean captions. Im not Korean myself but it seems like if there's English captions under the parts where they're speaking Korean, there should be the option for the video to be captioned in Korean. Especially if this video is aiming to further the "tattoo revolution" and changing ideals of Korean people
