Thank you so much for confirming what has been in my spirit for many years! I have alluded to it at times but was rebuked for going to those places. So I have cried to God questioning what I’ve witnessed in “His” church. Confused at times as I watched our leaders doing “church.” Thank you. I wait to hear how we are to navigate through the truth and traditions as lay people, the sheep who aren’t anointed enough to question any of it ...😢

I was at work and had to turn you all off this morning so I didn't get very far into this episode but AMEN, AMEN, AMEN!! My cousin and I have just been in conversations about why so many people have left our church and I said to him. God is cleaning out those who are resistant to the change He is bringing our way. I never thought about it being idolatry of traditions but that is so true and really witnessed to my spirit.

So true! All of you are spot on. So many leaders have idolized by the very ones they are supposed to point to Christ. Some leaders you can’t even get near because they rushed to their offices. Some celebrity prophets only think that a Word from the Lord can only come through them. Where is the reverence of the Lord? We, the church in America must repent. The church in America is truly divided and I know God is not pleased with that!

Our church has lots of events to draw people. Our church idolized our Pastors. Our Pastors a beautiful people...I love and respect their ministry. My husband and I are the directors of 2 prayer teams. We were canceled out for 8 months..we felt so lost. We have been praying for the strategic plan of God.. we want the plan of God for our teams . And our church people ..oh so much to say. So sorry.

Reckless abandonment... God has been saying to me "dive in". I've had a picture of myself on a tiny island in the middle of a vast ocean. He said do not dip your toes, do not wade in. Dive in! To begin or undertake something quickly enthusiastically and without trepidation. Dive into my word, into your relationship with me and into obedience in what I am telling you to do. I have felt overwhelmed, confused and out of control over the past few months. This episode has lined up with what God has been saying to me and has taking it forward. As hard as it is to hear, it is also encouraging. Thank GPC you for speaking out for us, however difficult, what God has been saying to you.

This topic is so necessary. My church on June 14 reopened after two months of lockdown and where I thought it was going to be an amazing time in God....it was dead. And the few that was on fire....felt like we were looked at strangely. I was so disappointed. I don’t even look forward to it which is strange for me. Worship only got some form of “life” when it was the old sound. It’s crazy.

Am I disappointed? I think now in the same way God might be, as the Word says, the laborers are few. & Beyond that, that so many believers do not even see where we are. However, I mostly had been disappointed in myself before, because i realized I was not really "fully" walking in the things God had for me to do. Yes the enemy tries to scare us to death or lull us to sleep, but ultimately, we remain stagnant or we don't. If we have Christ in us. then if we do not hear or know it is not because He is not speaking. He speaks through His Word and a million other ways. If we fail to take Him at His Word or whatever He tells us, then that is on us. However, I could not stay knowing this. So, He corrected me so that i could labor in the field. God bless you all.

@Karen Riley. I agree. Not only were 325 men creating a book, but the content included was all about establishing their career as priests. Modeled on the Roman Empire, the Church was able to survive. We have to realize God wanted the Word to survive. Maybe this was necessary to reach us 2,000 years later. Christ is the Wird, present at creation... Is the Word confined to one time? What is Christ saying today? At the time Paul wrote in 2Timothy that the word is inspired by God, Paul’s letters were not scripture. He was referring to the Old Testament and maybe, depending on who you believe on when it was written, the gospel of Mark. I do believe the Bible is God’s wird, I just do not believe it’s complete nor is God done writing and speaking. This has always been part of what drives my seeking. May the fear of God soften our hearts completely to hear and to live a life close to God and be known by God. Amen,

💯 most churches are doing that thing in USA. They are not repentance of idolatry. The leaders don’t see the need for them to repent. They think you have not right to challenge them. That is the culture pastors have created. We should be replicas ofJesus not man.

Can I just add a few more questions? Are we idolizing scripture over God? Have we confined the almighty presence and power of God into a book? Have we believed that scripture is the word of God or do we recognize that the word of God IS God and that, yes, he spoke to people 2000 and more years ago in a culturally relevant way, BUT that he isn't bound in a book? Do you realize that the Bible was compiled in the council in the 300s by men who were FEARFUL of anything not under the control of government, church, etc. It was compiled IN FEAR to be used to control the people. How likely is it that we are still receiving the fear "anointing" through scripture? Afraid of hell. Afraid of displeasing God. Afraid of not knowing scripture well enough that I'll fall. We're literally studying the experience of other's relationships with God instead of HAVING a relationship. How likely is it that the Holy Spirit isn't enough to guide us into all truth? What if the bible, having been compiled with motives of fear and control was never meant to be compiled? What if the bible itself is the chains that are holding the church back? Holy Spirit is sufficient. The word of God, coming today, in a context for people today, in metaphors for today, testimonies happening today ISN'T something you can control and fake. Are we like the blind boy in Dumb and Dumber receiving some sad comfort from petting a dead bird, studying scripture, instead of even having a clue that the bird is dead and that real birds, real holy spirit ISN'T something that just sits there to be pet. He flies! Does God lead us through a spirit of fear and control or is he actually who he says he is? Is he actually a sensible presence? Maybe we've seen so little change in the church because we're still wearing the "grave clothes," of the Bible. Can't get more containment of God, a smaller God than confining him, binding ALWAYS to the Bible and what he did 2000 years ago as though he needs us to always link his new works to old ones! Let Him MOVE how He's been longing. These are UNCOMFORTABLE ideas, even for me, because I was raised I the church and went to inductive bible study, but let's consider at a heart level if we believe that God is actually greater than a compiled book of his works that happened years ago. Are we worshipping and serving a compiled book of God's prior works or are we worshipping God? Is HE NOT ALL SUFFICIENT? Idolatry of the Bible. Food for thought and prayer before God.

Isn’t it found in scripture Jesus saying that He Himself would build His church without human hands outside the camp. This is my only hope for the future and maybe we have to come to this point of disappointment in order to receive what His highest desire is for us. Letting go of what is behind and reaching forward in faith for what is to be.

What I have seen that has gone wrong is the leaders of the Church have not made their people powerful. Some people feel they have to follow the leader/ Pastor instead of Jesus as the head of the church. We are asking the body of Christ to rise up and they don’t know how to rise up. We need to allow people to be powerful and get our own revelation. Justin Abraham says we are powerful enough to disagree. We have made followers of An institutional church instead of Jesus. Honestly control in the church needs to be replaced with Liberty! We have not allowed people to challenge ideas.

Im no longer interested in Lifestyle preaching which ive been sitting under for the last 20yrs. Im not saying its a bad thing as i have learnt alot from it, but im hungry for more of the Holy Spirit moving in my church as its not happening corporately but I have decided to use my gift of prophecy over others as much as I can when I can. Ive moved in the prophetic from 92 but the church has squashed it as it moved into more of the preaching and worship and not moving in the spirit.
