Please help me understand. You spoke about Genesis 2:16 and said do not profane God's one-ness, do not worship idols. When I looked up Genesis 2:16 it says "Adonai, God, gave the person this order: " You may freely eat from every tree in the garden.. ". How does that mean do not profane God's one-ness or do not worship idols? I have been trying to find the actual verses of the Noahide commandments and have not found them yet.

Thank you Cheryl for your comments & questions related to Genesis 2:16. Firstly the "wording" of this verse (& subsequent commentary) may vary according to the "biblical version" you are reading from. I have referenced the "Stone Edition of The Torah with Commentary Anthologized From the Rabbinic Writings", Chpt 2 - Verse 16. This verse states, "And Hashem God commanded the man, saying, "Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat;" (The 7 Noahide Commandments are being referenced here). In fact Chpt 2 Verses 15-18 speak of Adam (man) "working" the garden meaning the study of Torah, God's commands (the 7 Noahide commandments). Further on Verse 17 says "If you eat from the tree of good and evil", then on that day the evil impulses of jealousy, lust & honour will be aroused ........" Meaning he would become "subject" to death/separation. If he had never sinned, his holiness would have kept him alive forever. The word "death" means separation from God, whereas, if he (Adam) had not sinned, Adam (meaning man) through his holiness would stay alive forever. I hope this has helped answer your questions Cheryl & Blessing for you.

Noahidism comes off like Islam. Pure monotheism. If you have not read the Quran I highly encourage you to do so. What you believe is exactly what the Quran and Islam teaches.
