I appreciate that we have a male character ahead of his time like Prince Anan, he and Anin are revolutionaries but above all because he is more like a father figure for her and his understanding is important for the development of the story and her struggles in an era full of sexism. Anin embodies that role of revolutionary princess but the brother is like her parallel and that he does not reject his sister but quite the opposite, left me wow, the writing of the series is very social and contemporary, well played.
