Phillip and Jessica are my top 2.. but those fans of his were really rude and stupid! seriously, I can't help but feel sad for Jessica.. she was probably hurt, and just lost her confidence.. :( well, at least she's doing okay now and is GENUINELY HAPPY for Phillip.. such a nice girl.. so all the haters just need to shut it

One of my thoughts for the finale was whether they properly credited Greg Holden for initially writing Home. Because Phillip really took that song and got a crazy career out of it, and like no one really realises that Greg Holden wrote it i think

It's obvious, what she focuses are the ones she found "Sexy" in Phillip. SHe said it a few episodes back which is kinda iwwwwwwwwww! Jessica is a much better singer and performer than the winner I think.

There were talks that producers wanted Jessica to be the opening act for JLO's upcoming concert tour in the Philippines but after seeing JLO dissing and secretly hating Jessica, i think it's not gonna happen. She has freaking huge ego who doesn't wanna be outshone by a 16 yr old.

only because her mentors asked her to. At first she did try to show them that, although she can sing ballads, she is not necessarily a balladeer, so she sang Turn the beat around and songs like that. But other people said that she is here not to show the world what she wants to sing later, when she goes and makes songs, but what she can do. They specifically asked her to show the extent of her voice. So if thats how you think dont blame her, blame jimmy and the judges.

The last part of Idology! I wish next year they would do this again (I liked the banter between Michael & Melinda). I felt that after Hollie left, it looks like they wanted Jessica to leave at 3rd and based on the comments (Jessica was always given mute praises or "just OK" comments unlike Josh being "the best singer evah" and Phillip being an "artist") and song choices (Top 3 & 2), or they want her to be the winner but the bussing just didn't work for her.

If you only knew how hardworking jessica is. She always carries the show. if you noticed, her voice is already hoarse from all of it. When she sang IWALY during the finale, this was not part of the program. She sang to fill in for Jlo cause she will be late for 3 mins beacuse of delayed costume change. This girl, jessica, even w/ hardly any practice can sing like nobody's business. I have no doubt that she'll go far.

Did you even watch the show? She doesn't always sing ballads. Uhh... Steal Away, Try a Little Tenderness, etc. I can tell you she's the most versatile among the contestants. If you don't like her, there's nothing she can do to win you over. Poor girl has to do backflips, skydive, swim with sharks and some people would find something to complain about. Yes, her journey has been that difficult.

People have their own opinion about this show and the contestants. Jessica by far as I've watched her videos in youtube, has got to be the BEST. I mean for a 16 year old she sings such Big and Dangerous not to mention old songs and brings it back to life. She can belt it out and she has done it so effortlessly. I just became a fan. She's gorgeous and Amazing. That Joshua Ledet is 100% Amazing! IDC about the winner LOL

there is actually no problem with the finalists..its the judges. and their bias comments..that annoys me and the rest..philip will be just fine,so with josh and jessica..but i hope they change the voting system next season....

Hmmm I don't see how bad Christina's version was? I thought it was way more powerful than Jessica's even though I did like Jessica's too. Considering Christina was sick, she nailed that performance and put heart into it as always. Jessica is too focused on the technicality rather than the soul just like her idol, Beyonce.

JLO really sucks in judging, her actions are way too obvious, after jessica sang "the Prayer" she was the first one to raise her hands and clap just like what she did when jessica entered top 2 during top 3 results and then she said She heard jess sing it before WTH! I don't get her logic at all........

I just think that she should've stood her ground and stuck to her guns. Their performances on Idol should determine what kind of artist they're going to be after the show. That's one of the reasons why I'm not really fond of her.

That's it though. Most of the time, she sang ballads like I Will Always Love You, And I Am Telling You, I Don't Wanna Miss A Thing, The Prayer, Dance With My Father, Everybody Has A Dream, My All, I'll Be There, I Have Nothing...... you get my point. She has an amazing voice but that's it for me honestly. This is a public website and a free country so I'm free to express my opinion. I think Jessica's highest point in the competition was I Will Always Love You. From there, she plateaued. She was consistent but got boring really fast. I certainly did not enjoy the ballads she always sang. For me, Phillip had his bad days and good days but loved that he actually improved and progressed throughout the competition. He knows himself and sings from his heart which will help him in his career. I would have liked Joshua to win, but rooted for Phillip when he was booted.

Yeah, but the majority of idol viewers usually base it on what they see on the show. They don't know that she's not a balladeer unless they search her up on YT or whatever so if she only stayed true to herself and showed off that other side of her more, I believe she could've won. Doesn't matter now because she has a record label anyway. She will be successful too but she's just really not my style.
