I'm happy to hear this. I think birit singing is ok but it should not be the only genre that should dominate Filipinos' entertainment choices. I hope she doesn't sing anything birit moving forward, because I think she's already very good where she is now. I hope she auditioned in the US only because I know her style will fit her better in the US, especially in New York's Broadway. Does anyone know if Broadway is still looking for international talents? In the Philippines, this kind of singing is not mainstream, so she may not win, because majority of voters vote for birit singers. Filipino standards are for striking high notes which I admire but I admire tone of voice more. If she doesn't win, I think she should save enough money and make that US trip.
