Points for effort to everyone, some of them were pretty good but seriously no one can do it like Taemin. They fail to reproduce the subtlety and smoothness of his movements. Most of them exaggerate the hip movements, specially the girls. They also lack the fluidity between movements.

I think Jisung and Suzy and AOA had the 'feel' of the song down the best! If I had to pick one, I'd say Suzy. Is it just me or do the hip movements tend to look a little overexaggerated when girls do the dance? Taemin's hip movements are very subtle in the original choreo. There's so many songs that are sung and danced by guys that girls just can't pull off. Not because those girls don't have talent cos they do, but because the songs are made to emphasise male sexuality. I'm kind of impressed that the choreography is so sensual and sexy, but also not overtly masculine as much as others, if you know my meaning. Personally, I found that quite a few of the women were able to pull off the moves even better than many of the men in the compilation (except of course Taemin. Like its just the feel yknow). I think it's a testament to the choreography and Taemin as an artist that the song is so near androgynous but still so sensual.

I think what Taemin was able to convey in the dance that the other idols are missing is art. Art is the concept of Move. Idols know how to reproduce sexy, strong, cute and delicate concepts because that is what they have been trained to do. But they are put into boxes and shaped by their companies and they don't allow them to explore. Taemin must have explored his artistry on his own terms was able to tap into something that Idol training doesn't provide. He's not only performer, he's an artist.
