- gastric sleeve surgery vs gastric band
- bariatric surgery
- which clinic to pick for gastric sleeve
- English hospital recommendation for gastric sleeve surgery
- gastric sleeve before and after
- loose skin after gastric sleeve
- why I had a gastric sleeve operation
- all the secrets of bariatric surgery
- liver diet for gastric sleeve surgery and bariatric surgery
- what you should know before having bariatric surgery
Mega thank you forever and a day to my auntie Ash who stepped up and paid for this surgery. I will never stop being grateful for a second chance at life.

@@idriveaclassic I know it's easy for us to say - we're not the ones they were directed at and would feel exactly the same on the receiving end - but rhe following has to be said to reinforce the fact it's not ok or clever to behave like this. - They're the ones that end up looking like complete knobs and not you. Most IDAC viewers are here because they like you and your content - They're probably insecure and if their way of feeling better involves provoking a rise out of you then they need help - I bet they couldn't do what you do, both in terms of the channel and surgery - Why are they spending the limited time they have on this earth doing something so useless?

Keep making these fab videos about classics from a bygone era and may it bring you joy, wealth and long term prosperity. Btw.. love the crochet scarf. As someone who machine sews/embroidery as well as is learning ( slowly) to crochet you clearly have talent and should try making videos to show off your creative talents. I’m sure they’d do well.

I have been following your channel from the States for quite a while now. I think you have a great personality. You bring so much to your videos. You work hard on them and you know your facts. I love that, it's what drew me to your channel. I am so happy for you because you are happy. You suffered much and I am so sorry for that. But it makes me happy to see you happy. I have so much respect for you for doing this video and caring enough for others to do this video and be brutally honest about it. Your battle is very real to me. I married young to my first wife over forty years ago and she was 8 stone. Then over time she developed thyroid problems and started gaining weight. She gained up to over 23 stone and she became depressed and her self image suffered. We eventually got a divorce because we were younger and stubborn. We still remained friends. She dreamed of getting gastric bypass but she had other health problems and one thing and then another she never got to do it. We remained friends and talked regularly as well as me helping her with things. Well last month I took her out to eat and shopping and she was doing well. Her health was getting better. She was happy and had managed to lose 3.5 stone and she was getting lined up to have gastric surgery at last. Well 2 days after I had her out she died suddenly of a heart attack at 54 years old. In a moments notice she was gone just as she was realizing her dreams coming true. So I am happy that you didn't wait or put it off. Live your life to the fullest because you never know what day is gonna be our last on this earth. Keep making great videos for us, we really enjoy them. And would you please do a video for me on a Smart Fortwo? I have the 451 and I really love it. It would be interesting to hear your opinions on a quirky car with a quirky transmission. Thank you Steph !

Thanks Steph for being so honest with us. I'm one of those people who wouldn't have bothered to ask about your change of look, I just enjoy your car videos whatever. I guess though that informing your KZbin community in this way does head off some of the questions that people are bound to ask. When you first mentioned that you had had surgery, I was concerned that it had been solely down to negative comments online. Now I know that t was more to do with counteracting the effects of a hormone disorder and lock down. None the less, you did mention the sort of comments that you used to get and it is very upsetting that people would say such things. For me, Steph is someone that loves to share her passion for classic cars and indeed you did inspire me to buy my own Morris Minor (fortunately my wife likes it too) . I love your presentation style and to be honest I don't really care what the presenter looks like, I just want to know about the cars. This is in the same way that I liked Hubnut with long hair and now with short hair and I could never understand the negative comments Ian got about his long hair. I have however always admired your outfits and your whole late 1960's kind of look. Your video was very informative, hopefully I will never need such drastic surgery myself (oh the custard Creams!), but I now have a better understanding of what people having this surgery are going through. On the subject of toxic friends, some people to seem to home in on negative energy, perhaps because it makes them feel better about themselves, others can desert you in times of trouble and some indeed when you succeed. Who needs such friends? Anyway, enough waffle from me, I wish you well and I look forward to more car videos. Cheers Andy

People are disgusting. How dare anyone cast vile, hurtful and crass comments and opinions on someone who comes across as genuine, upbeat and positive as yourself. I have encountered such behaviour towards myself in the past and have witnessed others expressing their hate on to others. I don't understand why people can't just be kind to one another. I can't tell you how sad it makes me to hear that you have had so many ugly, destructive comments to deal with - how you keep going in the face of that sort of thing is beyond me but it says a lot about you. Thank you so much for this honest video. Your story of the journey, with both the good and the bad. would give others a fuller picture than the "sweetness and light" depictions often seen. As you say, it's your body, and your decision what to do with it. That said, I work in allied health, and the health benefits of bariatric surgery are both tremendous and undeniable. If you don't have or can't get the money, and you are very overweight, bariatric surgery is available in the UK and Australia via the public system. Talk to your doctor. Steph, vile comments appear to be par for the course for females on KZbin. Denigrating and/or inappropriate. It's terrible, even if from a minority. Good on you for staying safe and strong, others have been forced off.

What a brilliant video. It not only takes a lot of strength to make a huge life change like you did but also to take the time to be so open about it. You're one strong lady. I think what is evident is that, importantly, you did this for you and not to try and fit in with other people. Yes, it will likely lead to less horrible comments from nasty trolls but it would have been sad if that alone had been the motivation. Clearly it wasn't. It's made you much mentally stronger and physically able too. I've been lucky enough to meet you twice and both times your love of life, people and adventure (especially car based) was evident. You deserve to have the physical and mental abilities to make the most of it and I'm so glad your surgery has enabled that. You've done right in having good people and cars in your life too and I'd put the Proton very much here. Protons in science are positive and a lot of positive things seem to have happened since it arrived :)

Well done for making this video Steph. It sounds like there is still a way to go but you certainly sound much happier now and living your life to the full. Whatever the future may hold just remember that some of us still remember that Girl who joked about modesty whilst climbing aboard a tractor for a video and she was pretty awesome. Good luck for the Future Steph and I'm sure I'll catch up with you again at some shows this year.

Hi Stephanie, congratulations on your weight loss ! You are very corageous to have done this. Pay no attention to haters who have nothing to add to anyone's life beyond their own misery. I agree with you that it's your body and your life and this applies to all human beings. Peace be with you

Hi Steph, I’ve watched your videos for a long while now and felt compelled to watch your journey. It looked long and difficult but you’ve made it a success and will continue to do so. And you have even managed time to find love! I hope you enjoy your first full year of you being happier, it’s humbling to see how many comments on here are so supportive and caring. The internet is a fabulous tool but it’s saddening when keyboard warriors can be so nasty and hurtful about someone’s size. They must be full of vitriol and unhappiness in themselves to warrant such behaviour. Would it be a possibility that tinkering Tuesday might return? All the best Steph 😊

WOW! Words aren't enough somehow, such a difficult journey, that I know myself and others without going through it could never truly comprehend the pain, determination, and bravery needed to go through all that! That honesty is something that seems lost on humanity today, as more of us than would admit hide behind masks of one sort or another to appease public perceptions of ourselves. Much respect!
