Do you ever wish summer could last forever? Well, at IDW, it can! We’re bringing you an endless summer with everyone’s favorite characters in four unique one-shots! Wave goodbye to the office and say hello to the beach! Sonic drags Jewel on a well-deserved beach day to spend time with her besties, Tangle and Whisper! But when they all settle in for some rest and relaxation...they realize the Babylon Rogues had the same idea...at the same beach. The only way to settle this is with a totally tubular beach showdown!

Good for her, She deserves it! I mean we like seeing characters sad but struggling to maintain happiness because it inspires us but at the same time but at the same time, We are asking “Can we have this character be happy for five seconds without something bad or tragic happening to them?” Always making the character sad or the writers forcing sadness on the characters isn’t creative but lazy and mean-spirited writing, If the writers don’t actually know what to do with their characters then peoples are asking “What the point of having a character around besides fanservice?” This how peoples lose interest in certain franchises and shows becomes nothing more than a former shell of what it used without peoples caring about anything other than money.

It's actually nice to see Sonic and Jet hang out and not be at each other's throats. And it was very heartwarming to see Tangle and Jewel reconnect. This was a really great chapter.

Definitely a fun issue! It's nice to have everyone relaxing. Always great to see the Babylon Rouges, Jet's my favorite green rival! I absolutely adore Sonic in this! Using this as a chance for Jewel to reconnect with Tangle. Even in the middle of the match he was encouraging her. Also, it cracks me up seeing Sonic on the beach during the water events since he can't swim! 😆

A fun chapter with everyone getting to relax after dealing with one crisis after another. I’m especially happy for Whisper getting to have time to relax. She’s been through plenty of trauma between her Wisps getting stolen by Surge, the almost end of the new Diamond Cutters complete with Shadow androids and there is still the matter with Mimic to deal with.

A fun issue overall. Tracy as always did phenomenal art for this issue. Especially the facial expressions. I'm also glad that the beach outfits for everyone weren't just for the cover. Not to mention just how well every panel in this comic flowed. Also weird thing I noticed but starting at 3:59 you can see a bit of blonde fur on Whispers back. I guess that's just how far up it goes simce her tail and and legs are blonde too. The story is pretty nice and we get to see more of Jewel and just how stressed and overworked she's truly been since her bff is always out with Whisper. She really got to shine this issue and it's nice seeing Sonic motivate and encourage her since that's just the kind of cool and thoughtful friend he is. I wll say I'm actually surprised the Rogues didn't complain about the tournament (especially the volleyball match) being unfair with Sonic having 1 extra team member. But in the end it's nice seeing everyone relaxing. Whisper chatting with Wave, Jewel and her bestie finally hanging out and the boys roasting marshmallows (Gotta wonder if Sonic likes his marshmallows like that cause he's been hanging out with Blaze recently lol) 11/10 would read again and again.

It's nice seeing these characters finally taking a break after the events of the last few issues. The Diamond Cutters entered a different plane of existence, 2 of them had their atoms "shattered into oblivion", Tangle fell off a 50 story building, Whisper had a panic attack after seeing the shadow androids, and now they have to deal with Mimic again. I hope that they make Lanolin more important to the story. She was barely even in this issue. She was in the background of one panel.

I love the attention to detail that Sonic was exempt from all water related contests. Also really loved the portrayal of Jet here, and how competitive both him and Sonic get at just about anything, even roasting marshmallows.

This was just an excellent special overall. Though the general character interactions were great as always, what really reasonated with me was Jewel's conflict. It's been hard to hang out with people I did hang out with as much as I used to, but we still find ways to overall come together and form new memories together. That conflict and the way the emotions were portrayed was told rather well by the art and dialogue provided in this lil story. I really enjoyed this issue, it was sweet :)

This comic made me feel really bad for Jewel as she felt like she wasn’t part of the group and looked like she wasn’t having fun at all and made her feel like everyone forgot about her but I’m happy that Sonic didn’t forget her also Jewel really needs to get a break from doing paper work and spend more times with her friends she really deserves it for all her hard work

Probably shortly after the arc ends. My theory is that Mimic gets exposed and torn up by the Diamond Cutters and Tangle and Whisper take the beach as an opportunity to wipe out any remaining grievance of the first gen Diamond Cutters.

Oh wow the Ninja Turtles and Ponies are joining in the fun! Too bad Sonic doesn’t fight Dr. Eggman the modern version anymore in the modern IDW 2023 because they literally made that Egghead dead why did IDW had to go too far!? I know some of us like me hate Dr. Eggman but that doesn’t mean you can literally make him dead character for good as he is still a iconic Villain in the Sonic Series and still is with Sega, and Sonic Prime up to this date. The Classic Eggman is in IDW but the Modern Version we like to fight and not like his tricks is completely gone. IDW killed Modern Eggman there is no more Modern Eggman with the latest Sonic IDW. He's completely gone, dead in the Modern Universe of the IDW Series.

Only criticism about this is why is wave being so neutral, they already help save the world and that's it, so why is it when jet getting to his mischievous state, wave always critique or tells them to give up and quits.
