Well, dang! I wasn’t expecting the public reveal that fast! If this was Archie, I’d expect people to turn on Sonic. But this isn’t. Sonic is a worldwide hero, and we got a less swayed crowed, and with all this other stuff going on, it should work out. And Surge is getting more unhinged! Now that’s she’s announced herself to “following orders,” maybe she’ll reveal Mimic. I noticed Duo was using the same board as the fake Phantom Rider. How did Whisper not notice?… or did she? Maybe she did, and knows Duo faked it! And now the Chaotix have finally entered the scene, with all the dirt they need!

I don't think Surge's word against Clutch is enough. he's probably gonna expose Surge and Kit's role, without exposing his own (the Chaotix can do that), and thus the people might see Surge as a pathological liar I'm surprised that Whisper didn't get into trouble with Lanolin for attacking Surge. then what was the point of Mimic pretending to be Surge?

Oh man, just as Sonic got his spirit return, he got defeated again!! Even though I'm glad that his friends are decided to helping him instead after the reveal, but I think Lanolin's gonna think otherwise and think of him as a traitor instead I'm also glad that Jewel now realized Clutch's true intention, but the Restoration may not gonna be able to accepting any new people for a while after this. As for Surge and Kit, what they're doing was kinda huge gambit for them, they're doing good by exposing Clutch, but with the cost of it making them look bad and losing respect they had from people. Feel sorry for those two, everytime they're trying to do the right thing, the result was always ended up turning against them, it was as if the fate (or the writer if you want to saying it that way) wanted them to remain the bad guys.

To me, it illustrates the big flaw for them. They aren’t exactly evil, they’re broken. They’re biggest flaw, is that they’re their own worst enemy. Just when they feel they want to do the right thing, they’re programmed hate for Sonic, Tails, and they’re friends, causes them to relapse. It’s like an obsession that overrides any good they’re capable of. Even if they’re working for Clutch, they’re still doing it for the same reason: killing Sonic and his friends to ruin their lives and replace them. Even if the methods are different, Surge and Kit are still following the same path Starline set for them: destroy Sonic and Eggman, and replace them to undo the status qoe. They don’t realize, that while they’ve left Starline and his ideals behind, they’re still living for him. For his goals, his dreams: ending Sonic and Eggman. The reasoning may be different now, but they’re still carrying out the destiny Starline made them for. They still aren’t living for themselves, and they don’t even realize it. Weather this has the opposite affect and comes back to bite the duo, or puts them in the path to change, I can see only one person being the best chance to redeem them and help them heal: Shadow. He knows what they’ve been through. And, he can put them down if they step out of line.

While roboticized Archie characters got their free wills sealed and being forced to serve Eggman, but at least they can be freed or turning against their own master and able to making their own destiny. While Surge and Kit are being forced to become something they weren't and being forced to hate someone while have their past memories erased, as well as being forced to go into a path the Starline set for them even if they left him along with his ideals. Which resulted any right thing they wanted to do into turning against them. Also, what makes you think Shadow are able to help them?

It's nice to see a bunch of background characters that fit the bill of "OC level quality" while still not interrupting the story like you'd expect a poorly handled OC to do. A story like this would demand a lot of background characters, but nobody said they necessarily HAD to be this striking. Granted, the artists and writers could've jumped for a bunch of faded-out, unimportant characters, but instead they've fully committed to having a world of Sonic characters that fit while still having vibrant designs? I guess it goes beyond the minimum requirement. A stark contrast to Archie, with its armies of random brown folks.

I have four major questions; 1) What was Whisper's plan to distract Lanolin and Duo? 2) What happened to Tangle after Surge electrocuted her and kicked her out of the sky? 3) How did Surge grab Sonic's transformation thingy when she clearly went past him without doing so? (This is like when Mimic somehow damaged it in #71 when he clearly didn't) 4) Why didn't we see Lanolin's reaction to Sonic being revealed as the Phantom Rider?

God i love the head twist of Belle, no offense was taken but her look is so done XD. Really enjoy how subtly Surge and Kit are delivering their own plan while pulling the upper hand on Sonic. Well, damn! Looks like stealth is no longer an option as Sonic has been UNMASKED! Clever move there, Surge! Clever move… Clutch certainly doesn’t look happy about this. This didn’t go according to his plan and now that Surge had screamed that she was working for Clutch, the people will think that the game was RIGGED FROM THE START! And speaking of reveals, Lano-lame finally knows that Sonic is the Phantom Rider. Kinda weird that we didn’t get her reaction in this issue, but boy…in the next issue, she’ll be out for blood against not only Sonic but Tangle and Whisper for keeping a secret from her. And what do you know, the Chaotix make their debut…albeit in a jail cell. Too bad they only got a taste of freedom before Clutch locked everyone back up. The heat is on! Issue 74 can’t get here fast enough! PS: HE SAID THE THING! SONIC SAID HIS LINE FROM HEROES!!!

All leads up to the race to the finish double length milestone 75 in Nov, 73 was good by the way.

This was just a nice quick issue with a few nice interactions. Great character designs tho. Not too flashy or too sinple. Also really great to see Don taking on a hands on role again. I guess Surge really doesn't care anymore about her past at this point since she was willing to just come out and spill the beans on working for Clutch. It also would negate any ill will and doubts people would have about Sonic being the Phantom rider. Can't wait to see how Lanolin reacts after all this unfolds. But now I gotta wonder if this was all Kit's plan or if that part is still yet to come. And also when did the Chaotix get on the ship? Did I miss something? Next issue we also get to see how Clutch fights. Should be interesting since he's older than Eggman according to the writers. 4:10 Seems Sonic had a fan girl in the crowd 8:18 Like a true Rider, he goes for the kick 11:38 Seems Amy might be having some flashbacks to to SA1's Egg Carrier Stage

Looks like Jewel, Tangle and Whisper have caught on the Clutch's plans, keeping their suspicions among themselves, Lanolin on the other hand has gotten manipulated by Duo to the point she'd be more of a liability. Guess Surge and Kit are taking a zero gambit and expose everything, figuring if they're going down, they'll makr sure clutch goes down with them. Gotta an feeling Duo's next in line for their exposure campaign.

It's a Zero-Approval Gambit in this context. If Surge and Kit being 'heroes' is a fabrication, then the best they can do to make the most of a lose-lose situation is to get the upper hand on Sonic, while also revealing the underbelly of Clean Sweep Inc, even if it means they're hero status is tarnished. It's more of a 'taking you with me' type of gig.

Well, this sure escalated things, to such an extent that I am now really wondering just how the last Two Issues of the Arc could play out. As for Surge & Kit, i guess we are now seeing their plan put into motion, what’s left now is just figuring out what that plan is, ‘Cause so far this seems so straight forward that i could imagine Surge coming up with this plan, so i really hope that Kit has thought of things way more thoroughly than this and that we get to see a way more fuller extent to just how smart Kit is, he was supposed to be Tails replacement after all.

I get the feeling that when this arc is over, Lanolin is going to feel like a total failure. Between Mimic pretending to be Duo and not realizing things were strange at the race, her confidence will take a hit. It may take an adventure or two before she’s firing on all cylinders again.

Whisper plan to attack Duo in the wide open where he has his guard up completely because she was running on emotions and left herself open and got Silver in trouble. Then a malfunction happened with Clutch having Mimic tampering with the extreme gears engine that Tails created which they made it seem like a accidental and malfunction which nobody would know it would be sabotage. Yeah she comes out as harsh as Shadow would be to people mainly to Sonic but still her logic and reasoning is understandable. I get people getting upset but calling her a idiot because you got knowledge over a fictional character and ignoring the mistakes the others made or just lying and saying she’s the one not communicating when it’s her team keeping her in the dark even though Tangle wants to let her know but you don’t care about how Tangle feels about Lanolin either do you.

Seeing tangle get shocked like that hurts my soul! I know she'll be okay because plot, but I just wish we got to see it now so I could rest easily, if surge is truly wanting to redeem herself she's definitely gonna have to get her anger under control or at least find a healthy way to release it because actions like that definitely work against her since thats practically attempted murder even if it was a fit of blind uncontrollable rage, anyways while unlikely (i moreso see one of the heroes catching Tangle)im kinda rooting for Kit to catch her with his water tentacles since you can see them in the shot prior to surge yeeting herself towards the phantom. This issue had a ton of surprises and shocks and one of the best ones so far. Sonic is exposed and is caught in 4K. And Surge just revealed the whole plan in front of the big screen too. And I felt so mad that's Surge shocked Tangle. And Clutch is really a scumbag for trapping the Chaotix. We're really getting close to the final fight and some reactions are going to be revealed, especially Lanolin since her teammates had the secret from her so this is going cause tension but I don't really care, screw Lanolin. That's what she kinda gets for being arrogant. And I want sonic to expose Mimic expose and to stop Clutch, I'm quite literally begging for it. And I want justice for Tangle and Whisper and for Surge and Kit, as well as Sonic, Tails, and Amy, since they need a apology for being booted off for no reason and I want people to say sorry.
