Why is the nozzle so short? These earphones seem to be designed to rely more on the memory wire ear hooks, and less on the nozzle/eartip, anchoring them in place, which is awkward and uncomfortable. Also, the tips and cables just aren't very good. If Sennheiser want to go their own idiosyncratic way with IEM design, then they owe it to their customers to provide high quality accessories. How are we supposed to get a non-microphonic cable with this type of poseable ear hook (if it isn't the hook that makes it microphonic), or medical grade silicone tips, that aren't scratchy, with the damping foam built into the tip itself?

@@AndrewLamas19 No. I have heard several of Senn's IEMs, and find the lack of pinna gain to border on incompetence. Which is so odd b/c I loved since 1988 the HD560, HD580, HD600, etc. This set only increases pinna gain about 2db from the other failures, per Crin's graph.

Soo…DMLS Direct metal laser sintering with Powdered ZR…. Not bad! With global manufacturing and lean manufacturing … these are made in Germany assembled in Ireland. So is my Sennheiser HD660s I recently got made in Ireland? Cause the headband don’t show the made in Ireland markings and the box have a sticker saying it’s made in Ireland! Maybe after Sennheiser was bought they changed their manufacturing base from Romanian to Ireland!?

Exceptional in only outer shell look and feel, busted crap in terms of internals especially drivers. But who care about the shell whereas the whole internals are crap. My IE 600's left side driver gone kaput within 4 months. Totally unacceptable for the amount I paid, the QC is dead bad. This issue is well known among all IE users. Some of them are in their 3 rd or 4 th replacement pairs. Beware before buying it. The sound is great I really enjoyed but the quality of internals are outright crap

What sennheiser need to learn how to price items . Same driver , same technology from the ie.300.600 and 900 and the prices are like 1000 dollars apart . Does gemans knows how much is 1000 dollars and what you can get. I can get a chifi like the mest for less and with 14 divers extra compared to this set. Germans ans their profit margin. Insane

@@freen773 this is just me personally, but 99% of audio reviews I consider as mere first impressions. They hold no credibility to me because they fail at focusing on the most important aspect of this hobby which is synergy. Crin even stated that he doesn't think source gear makes a big difference. In my experience, that's just absurd. It's mind boggling how these reviewers only focus on one aspect of the hobby when everything matters. I personally bought the ie900 (which I think is a great value) and every review that I've seen called it a v-shaped iem or having recessed mid-range "according to the graph" which, by the way, I couldn't care less about. I got lucky and found a great pairing for the ie900 and it is not v-shaped or recessed whatsoever. This is just one out of many examples. If you find credibility with reviewers like crin then cool, but not me. I'll listen to it myself or find people that take synergy into account. I'm tired of all the misinformation and negligence for synergy so I don't follow these reviewers as much as I used to.

Not the same driver, not the same tuning, not the same manufacturing, not the same internals, not the same sound. A higher # of drivers does not equal higher performance either...you get more distortion and frequency overlap. You've got to hear them, brother.

These people are clueless and paying youtube reviewers like Crin is just desperate. Why don't they just tune an IEM that doesn't have a pinna gain suckout?
