Hi I have a problem to understand the p/km at 23:03. Because in the video the lady talking 2 passenger in the car however in example she count whit 3. My guess is the third passenger is the driver like in the taxi but is not clear . And I do missing the calculation for the boat and of course the comparison between the boat and car. Please carry on to make this kind of videos because most of people do not understand the science of statistics including myself but lot of decisions based on them

Hi Vandor1976, thank you for your comment! Regarding your question, average occupancy (load) can be calculated in two ways: Method 1: total number of passengers (4 from the boat + 2 from the car = 6 passengers in total) divided by total number of vehicles (1 boat + 1 car = 2 vehicles), what gives us on average 3 passengers per vehicle (6/2=3). Method 2: passenger-kilometres (6 passengers * 5km = 30 passenger- kilometres) divided by vehicle-kilometres (5 km distance done by a car + 5km distance done by a boat = 10 km distance done by both vehicles together), what gives us also on average 3 passengers per vehicle (30/10=3). We hope it helps you understand better.
