Yes, his videos are really really useful and practical and it seems like students could apply all of the tips in every single writing test. I cannot agree more with you. He did open a door to a new world in time, especially for a student who dont have enough time to prepare and stuck in the bottle neck for a long time.

I have watched quite a few videos for TOEFL preparation, however, yours appeal to me the most. Watching this one above, certain question came to my mind. It relates to the topic of an independent essay found in a book: 'Many people believe it is very important to make large amounts of money, while others are satisfied to earn a comfortable living. Analyze each viewpoint and take a stand. Give specific reasons for your position.'. I structured my essay, providing pros and cons of first attitude (money are crucial) in the first paragraph and explaining only pluses of the second point of view (comfortable living is more important) in the second paragraph already taking the direction towards my opinion, which states that earning comfortable living is more beneficial. The example from the book focused only on the benefits of two attitudes. In a result, I got confused what word 'analyze' might mean. I supposed it requires discussing both sides of both point of views, which leads me to make a conclusion or just neglecting disadvantages of the attitude, which I consider as more beneficial, because, for example, I don't see any minuses. Or, I shouldn't think about those niggles, because all kinds of structures are proper if they are coherent and answer to the given question? Any clue to help organizing the ongoing chaos in my head, Adam?:)

It is a clear-cut example. Thank you very much. I would like to consult you that when an essay asks to contrast that means to mention the differences and when it asks to compare and contrast that means to give the similarities and differences but what if it asked to compare only. In fact, some references suggest writing about similarities in response to compare essay while other references recommend mentioning both similarities and differences what do you recommend a student willing to take the TOEFL test. Finally, I saw that you point-to-point essay or block-to-block one in this video

Due to the bad behavior of people, currently the earth carries the worst consequences with respect to the environment crisis. Thus, in order to improve the situations, some people speculate, individuals can’t bring any change; only governments and large companies do, but I personally believe that it is equally significant instead. Governments and industries are unable to cope being isolated. Indeed, the state must enact suitable laws by which every individuals and large industries can stand with. But on the one hand companies ought to spend more on eco- friendly products and on the other hand each and every single citizens should have responsibility and respect to the rules from throwing trashes. In conclusion, environment crisis can be cured not just by imposing several restrictions, but also should the societies walk behind. Hence, I see unity as the vital tool in preserving the environment today! Thanks......

Hi Adam! I'm watching all your videos, thank you again for the great help! In one video you recommended that we should choose between his/her in our essays because it is annoying to read the his/her all the time. I had a class with a teacher which happens to be an IELTS examinator and she told me I can't pick up just one because I don't know the sex of the person I'm talking about. I got confused. Also, she told me that the expression "On the other hand" has to be accompanied by the expression "On one hand". =( What's your opinion? Thanks again!

im sceptical about how one can conjure an essay like this in 40 minutes unless they are native and have years of experience. Is it still possible to score a 9 while omitting half of these fancy vocabulary? Dont get me wrong I am not aiming for a 9 ,but i want to leave some room for error in means of achieving a 7-8
