Thanks Sanjit Q-40 Cast doubt means doubt happens by chance Now Q is saying two persons are casting doubt on each other But in the passage The sentences are showing ,the views of two characters are matching and supporting to each other Surely , you are not going to get the exact word in IELTS Reading passage ,infact the has used the opposite of doubt
