My band in Writing (GT) changed from 6.5 to 7 with EOR. The EOR result came yesterday, i.e. in 8 days after applying (I had chosen 3 modules for re-marking). If your gut feeling says you did good or you deserved better than this, go for it!

I took IELTS about 2 weeks ago, and my initial result was Overall 7.5 (L: 8.5; R: 8.0; W: 6.0; S:8.0) I was expecting at least 6.5 in Writing, so I decided to do EOR only for Writing. Yesterday, I got a new result! Yay! Overall 8.0 (L: 8.5; R: 8.0; W: 6.5; S:8.0) I did self-study for 5 days so I'm satisfied with the result.

Hello Everyone, I applied for EOR 3 days ago and my results were like these: S:6.5 - W:5.5 - L: 7.0 - R:7.5 = 6.5 Overall. My writing score reached 7.0 points after EOR. Also, I applied only for the writing and speaking sections, and I thought that choosing more sections might result in a longer processing time, but I'm not certain about that.

@@ephraimlion As I already said I think so about the above calculation. Bcz during my training period my trainer who is a former ielts examiner told me about this calculation that's it. I don't know much about it. Moreover there is no need for me to manipulate my results or lie about my results. The above results is my real ielts results that IDP had given me and I applied to an abroad university with these results and I already got offer letter, that's it.

I requested an EOR 8 days ago. My original scores were 8.0 L, 7.5 R, 6.5 W, 6.0 S. I wasn't happy with my speaking as I was sure it's far better than my writing (usually speaking is higher than writing). Also, I didn't like the Examiner, so I was sure he substantially decreased my score. So, I applied both Writing (just in case) and Speaking to improve. My speaking score increased from 6.0 to 6.5...although i thought they will give 7.0 😅...0.5 more, and my overall would be 7.5. Nevertheless, my lesson is, if you're sure, then you should go for an EOR and improve it. Refund is coming

Hi, Sir. I don't think you were right about EOR on L/R parts since I know someone who got his result increased by 2 bands, from 7.0 to 9.0, in Uzbekistan. I think if a candidate is sure that they have done a better work, they should probably go for it no matter what section it is. Recently, I got my result: Overall: 8.0 Listening: 9.0 Reading: 9.0 Writing: 7.0 Speaking: 7.5 However, I am dissatisfied with the last two, which made me go for EOR. I hope there will be any difference.

Listening: 7 Reading:7.5 Speaking:6 Writing: 6 I guess I could have gotten a better score from speaking cuz I was pretty confident and fluent . But I couldn't get to use fancy words so it must be the reason for not getting 7 . Still I believe 6.5 would be appropriate score for my speaking. @@melikebicici3110 I did not write anything I just requested to remark speaking section ,because Iwas sure that I wouldn't get 5.50 ,after 2 weeks maybe less ,I found that my band was raised and the comment was I didn't deserve to get 5.5 and they wrote that they heard my recording and found that I used lots of complex sentences . However , I did some grammatical mistakes ,so yes you can easily be raised in Speaking section

There is some inconsistency with the information. Some sections can go down as well. If mistakes are noticed in the Listening or Reading, the score can actually drop. Of course, I will keep my finger crossed that get that half band more. Please let me know in a reply.

Hi Sir, I got my ielts result today for general training, L:8.5, R:8, S:8 W:6.5. Im positive that I deserved 7 in writing if not more. I had appeared for Ielts back in 2020 as well and had gotten a 7 in writing along with the same score in LRS. My question to you is Ielts result got delayed and maybe the answer sheet for writing was hurried as they had to publish the result by the 17th day. I am sure I did better than a 6.5 band score. Will the EOR be marked by a senior Ielts examiner? Also does the examiner give the EOR sheets a little more time than usual to mark because when one fills an EOR they are directly questioning the credibility of IDP evaluators? It's almost impossible for Reading and Listening results to change because those are objectives. For Writing and Speaking, a change in scores possible and usually not more than 0.5 band increment.

Just to give you guys some encouragement: I’ve requested an EOR and my Writing score went up from 7 to 7.5, with an 8.5 overall (L 9 R 9 W 7.5 S 8) The reason I requested the remark was because I was really confident with what I had written, besides, I had a very clear understanding about the assessment criteria, therefore I knew I deserved a better score regarding task response and advanced vocabulary If you’re confident and if you know you have fulfilled the criteria demanded by your desired band just go for it!!! Before I got up the courage to request the EOR I spent a lot of time watching these videos and reading comments on other people’s experiences, in the end it really paid off and I achieved my desired band score, didn’t need to resit the test 🙌🏻

I recommend to those who are confident in your ability. Recently I got my EOR result in Speaking from 6 to 6.5 . My previous result was overall 6.5. Lis-7 Reading -6.5 Writing - 6 Speaking -6 I was not satisfied with my writing and speaking band. I had confidence that i can score more bands , Fortunately, my band score in speaking increased but writing remained same. I just recommend to go for EOR on Speaking and writing rather than listening ,reading if you have enough confidence.

Your videos during my ielts preparation helped me a lot and because of your channel I am able to get a decent overall band score of 7.5. I received my ielts scores L= 7.5, R=8.5, W=6.0, S=7.5. I am not happy with my writing scores. But I do know that i missed the conclusion part in writing part 2 because i ran out of time. Should i apply an EOR? I have been watching all your videos and those live streams regarding the writing task. I completely followed the advices, structured the paragraph came up with a great thesis statement and wrote a great hook and background, avoided being rebundant by coming up with synonyms but i missed the conclusion.

My recent attempt: L 8.5 R 7.5 W 6.5 S 7.5 Overall 7.5 I needed at least 7 in writing. I went for remarking and I got the 7. Don't be afraid to go for remarking if you need just 0.5 band increment in either writing or speaking. Both are very subjective and depends on the one marking.

So according to your experience it is wise decision to go for half band increment in writing? Because mine is 5.5 in writing. Please reply as soon as possible.

@@rohanbhardwaj2014 yes please. Don't hesitate and go for it if you need just a 0.5 band increment. It is a good risk, considering that the cost of remark is less than 50% of IELTS test cost, not to talk about the stress and anxiety of taking the whole exam again. Also, you'll get a refund of your money if there is a change in your result.

@@ephraimlion yes literally, i was terrified about my speaking before results but what happened! My speaking was cleared but unexpectedly in writing 5.5 . I only need .5 increase and able to fly over my dream country 😭😭
