Greetings, Mr Jack. I'd like to keep improving and mastering my English and the reason for that is being capable to ascend and enhance my career path which required to be fluent in English. That's why I keep listening all your episodes immensely to build a vast range of vocabulary and academic structure. I believe and reckon that the academic English specifically the British is the most effective and proficient way to get improved and be able to level up my language. Ultimately, thank you tremendously tutor Jack for all the tips and advice you give in your lovely podcast ❤️

Thanks for the wonderful comment! It seems you are on the right path and you are very proactive with using higher level vocabulary. A little feedback if you would like: which required to be --> which requires me to be. Also: get improved --> improve. Thanks for sharing!

That sounds great! Just a little feedback for your improvement: We don't tend to use 'would' with 'hope', so in your sentence, I would say 'I hope I can become an advanced English learner'. Good job!👍

Hi! In English, A1 vocabulary is the basic one, while C2 vocabulary is the most advanced one. If I only utilise C2 vocabulary, it will increase sophistication and precision in writing but will alienate the readers. On the contrary, if I aim for A1 vocabulary, it will resonate with a broader audience, but it will be too general and imprecise. Could you advise me which words I should use in passage in order to strive for both specificity and clarity?

This is a really good question... I may address this in an upcoming episode if you don't mind! For now, I would say the following: Basic vocabulary is your foundation, and then there are two types of advanced vocabulary I would like you to learn. Firstly, topic-specific language related to your areas of interest and knowledge. Secondly, general-use language you can use for any situation. Take 'ubiquitous' for example. It is considered a C1/C2 word, but it can be used in any topic area. For example, coffee shops have become ubiquitous in my neighbourhood. That is all I can say for now but I may elaborate more in an episode!

Do you think I can take IELTS test when my level is B1 or B2?

You can take the IETLS test regardless of your level. It all depends on what band you are aiming for.

Hi Sir Jack, here is a sample of my part 2 answer, hope you could evaluate and comment on my answer Tq. OK so I would like to describe a language that I'm keen to deepen it more and to learn which is English. During my primary school time, I was exposed to English language, and it is one of the most important languages in the whole world because we would need to speak English in most of the western countries, so this was included as part of our syllabus. But unfortunately, the way we learn English is a bit dull and not interesting, I would say, because the way they taught us was to pronounce every syllable in the same tone, so we don’t get the right intonation. But then, during my university time, I was lucky enough to have attached to one of the university courses which is known as English Pronunciation and Practicing Skills. Throughout the course, I had learned a lot including how we need to articulate some of the syllable and sound correctly. And I think that really made a huge improvement in terms of fluency and pronunciation. I think that English is a wonderful language that I would like to emphasize more in the future because I need to be more confident when speaking to other people especially in english-speaking countries. I would like to enroll some of the online courses to become better as well so this is the language I would like to learn further. Thank you.

Hi! It's a nice, long answer! Here are some adjustments I would make: - ...I'm keen to hone and learn more which is English. - ...university course, which is known for English pronunciation... - Also, try using some higher level connective words/phrases. For example, you could change 'but' to 'however' or 'having said that'. Good job!👍
