Took this exam recently again (earlier one was in 2002) with an evening of prep. I scored enough. Tips considering my mistakes: 1.sequence WLR with speaking a day before. 2.Don't take pens, pencils, watch or cell phones. They don't allow toilet breaks in between. Extra sheets will require time to fill in the mandatory details. You'll lose a couple of minutes there. 3. Get a good night's sleep before. 4. Practice timed mock tests at home. Reading and listening will require you to be fast and be disciplined enough not to think about the questions you have been unsure about and to focus on the next task. Practice is therefore important. I took the test earlier once in 2002 and a fortnight ago. This time I found it more difficult. But the band scores are probably adjusted so do not try to predict them before the results! Reading: start with the passage with 14 questions first and give yourself 18 minutes. the two next should also be aimed at 18 m each. Good luck!

One of my classmates, who neither attended any IELTS course nor did a lot of practice questions, easily achieved a high IELTS score. This is because he took the shortcut of ‘IELTS Score Guarantee’. If only I had known about such organisations before my exams, it would have saved me a lot of time and effort!

Hello i have a doubt In listening section Can we answer to the questions while listening the audio Or We have to write answer only after listening to the entire audio?
@Pablosoad4747 Жыл бұрын
You can write your answers and notes on the question papers and then at the end of the task you are given some time to transfer your answers to the answer sheet.

PTE or IELTS is better in terms of ease of getting good scores.
@YocketStudyAbroad4 ай бұрын
Neither of the two exams can be considered easy or difficult. However, keeping the difference in pattern/structure in mind, people might find one easier to take than the other. Also, IELTS has fixed no. of questions, whereas PTE follows an adaptive approach. Read our full guide on PTE vs IELTS: yocket.com/blog/pte-vs-ielts
