Hi Adam, I am following your videos on writing which are very informative for my Ielts exam at the end of this month. In this video I was quite confused between the 1st essay and 2nd essay. I felt both were almost the same. Discuss both views and state your opinion. But why are you not leaning towards your opinion in the Internet essay and why are you leaning towards your opinion in the part -time study essay in the Body paragraphs? Sorry, but at 6:09 it looks more like Discussion vs Problem Solution, rather than Discussion vs Opinion. The second paragraph does NOT mention anything about YOUR point of view regarding the internet. It says there is a solution, but does not present your opinion. Correct me if I am wrong Adam. Thanks!

Hey, Adam! Would you not mind if I enquired you about whether I should use some archaism in my essay, or I must shun doing them? For example, I know the preposition "unto" meaning "to" (not infinitive). Thereby, when I am being communicated I may say "He/She/it/You/They told UNTO me that ... " to the others/others. Of course, there are other words, namely avaunt, anent, an, whereinsoever, whatsoever, howsoever, thereabouts, withal, whilst, whereamong, ween, albeit, howbeit and so forth. Some words it is possible to find in Oxford dictionary (upon their site there is a list); yet, I wonder why not use them in my essay - though I have the experience about this which makes me assume that most of readers can be confused and thereby having not understood my thoughts. Have you ever seen them in someone's essay? Your efforts are unevaluatable as long as it does help to write logical and correct texts in English.

Is it ok to give a solution when has not been asked, even though your approach is to give a balance between to options? I am a little confused. I believed that for hybrid essay where I have to discuss both sides with opinion, body paragraph 1 should be for the side I disagree with and body paragraph 2 should be for my opinion. But Adam you have not done so. You have used a structure for the purely opinion essay where we start arguing in paragraph 1 with my opinion, then you gave some concession to the other opinion in paragraph 2 and quickly went back to your own opinion. When a question just says 'Discuss'. in the end, Do i need to present both sides impartially or just present one side which is mentioned in the question?
