1 = says more dependable in adverse weather and by that itself it is contracticting the text which says not reliant on weather conditions and hence we can clearly say that the answer for 1 = NO

The answer is NO, that's correct. But have a look at your reasoning again. "More dependable" means that it's more reliable or stable, so geothermal energy is not dependent on weather, so it is not reliant on weather conditions - and that's exactly what the text says. But the text also says that tidal energy doesn’t have the problem of stability and that's why the answer is NO. Geothermal energy is not more dependable in adverse weather than all other energy sources.
