Why is IELTS EXAMINATION compulsory for Nigerians knwoing fully well that Nigeria was colonised by a English language speaking country and not French. As such ,English language is an easier medium for communication with learned people.

Why would questions on economics and history be included? English should be tested. Not questions on importance of online shopping or questions on festivities etc.

IELTS is a test of communication and not Intelligence. What the test is after is expression of your ideas and not the quality of idea. They could ask questions from anywhere just to see how you are able to communicate your ideas. All questions on our page are actual questions from a test.

@@blueprinthakeem7480 No you should not. There is a way to express ignorance or weak knowledge without sounding clueless. The test is about your ability to express yourself convincingly. If I can clearly convey the depth of my ignorance about a topic then go ahead to say the little I know about it, then I should be fine in the test. Words like, I assume, I would guess, I think ....already convey that the information following it is from a weak point of view or knowledge. I hope this helps.

This video is amazing… I wrote mine last month and I watch this video just that morning I got a 7.5 in speaking and it was just the first try Just find who to listen and practice speaking every now and then… you’re basically going to gist (or like they say “have a conversation” with the examiner) so be free… If you’ve been speaking English all your life, then just do what you do everyday Don’t be tense… I was at first, but then remember that’s the first and last time you’d see that person so you have nothing to lose at this point (figuratively speaking, of course) Do what you came to do I was tense to be sitting face to face with an examiner but I came in and it was an exam over zoom due to Covid restrictions… I was excited and couldn’t hide it Just have fun with it I had an 8.5 overall so I’d say it was a pretty good exam 🥰

If you’ve been practicing and getting atleast 34 to 30 consistently there’s no reason to panic. Believe in yourself and have it in mind that ielts got nothing on you
