IELTS Speaking Part 2 CUE CARD - Describe a time you helped someone.

So talking about the time I helped someone I'd like to share with you, erm
the time I helped a neighbour, she was an elderly lady,
she was at the bottom of the hill where we live, she was struggling with her
shopping bags, and she was literally taking five, erm sec no sorry,
20 seconds a step, she was going very, very slow,
so I wanted to help her I offered to carry her bags for her,
she was very grateful and as we walked up actually we started to chat
and learned quite a bit about each other she was very very nice
and in reality, that actually, helped me connect more with
her and the neighbours in our, in our, building
because I was er, a bit of newbie on the block
I had just er moved in to the area and it was really good to to meet her
I think it’s important that we help people erm,
it does help us connect and build friends
in that particular case it was really helpful for me to connect with neighbours
erm, I guess you know, in today's busy world with all the hustle and bustle
it's good to stop erm, to see what's going on around us,
and really take time to to connect with people and, you know,
if we can help them, they normally will help us in the future
although that's not really the motive, erm that kind of Karma,
what goes around comes around, erm might be true
so without sounding too much like erm a kind of an
advertisement or a soundbite,
I think it really is good to help people and to connect.
