Answer to the question: Well, It’s hard to precisely tell, but according to my personal experience I tend to believe that TV advertisements are much more powerful than newspaper ads in many points. Basically TV commercials, unlike traditional ads in newspapers, are more attractive and eye-catching. In my opinion, the chances of grabbing someone's attention through an entertaining video ad on TV are much greater than in the case with the boring texts on newspapers. TV is also watched by many people which means you can reach more customers of your target, and so I think that TV ads are more powerful in this essence.

I'm not an authority on this subject, but I'd say TV advertisements are quite powerful. It reaches a wider audience, this is fuelled by the gradual phasing away of interest in books owing to the advancement of technology. I believe people would rather watch TV and perhaps read about events online than to resort to newspapers. Also, the graphics, jingles, gimmicks, visuals associated with TV advertisements are quite fascinating and captivating to the eyes and ears and quite a number of people are moved by what the hear or see. For instance a TV add for a soda like Coca-Cola would actually capture the need for the product, the supply of it and the satisfaction that comes with taking of the soda, this cannot be aptly captured by newspaper ads, Also, people tend to retain what they see via motion than what mere picture.

Hello E2 ielts. I just took my exam 2 days ago and I did all the preparation from your KZbin channel so Thank-you for that. I'm sharing the questions that were asked from me in the speaking test. Section 1: Where do you live ? Is it a big city or a small? Why do you like this place? Would you like to change anything about that place? Who is your favorite film start? Why do you like him? Would you want to be a film star? Do you like to spend most of your time looking at stars? Is the sky prettier at day or night? Did you learn more about stars in school or college? Section 2: Talk about a person you enjoy working with? - who is that person - why do you enjoy working with that person - how long have you known each other Section 3: Is it important that children should be friends with all of their classfellows? How would it be better if children are friends with all of their class fellows? Should children be allowed to sit with whoever they want to in a class? Is it important for a boss to be friends with his employees ? What other factors are important for a work environment to be productive ? What should be done in order to make the physical environment more comfortable for the work employees?

I think Newspaper advertisements played vital role in the past because there were no televisions in many houses but nowadays, tv advertisements are grabbing more attention than newspapers. One of the main reason is that people are relying more on instant news that comes on tv and mobile apps news than buying newspapers.

Well, my answer is definetly the ones on TV. The best reason for that is that they are showing the same advertisement over and over and eventually it gets into your mind. on newspaper you probably see the identical advertisement only for once and if it is not effective enough to strike you in the first place you might forget it in a blink of an eye.

It depends on the personality type of the audience to a great extent, I guess. There is a group of people who are mainly influenced through texts and reading. For them, newspapers ads will stick out more probably. On the other hand, some others may be swept away via visual effects that are majorly associated with TV. So, advertisements greatly taking advantage of various personality types of their viewers or audience to get their messages across in the most effective lasting way.

Well , I believed The most powerful advertisement that could catch the attention of people is thru watching the TV , people are looking more fun of where they can be entertained , by watching their favorite celebrity advertising a product , or catching their interest aside from the content of the show is thru the music as well that they tend they can relate on it , unlike reading in the magazines , people get easily fed up .

Question answer: Since everyone is glued to their screens nowadays it would be a fallacy for me to say newspapers. Big companies such as McDonald's, Nike and Mercedes for example need global reach and newspapers just dont provide the platform needed to fulfill their needs to that scale. In the past we didnt have any better options and people used to turn towards newspapers for their dose of happenings around the world. Maybe in the future we will speak about televisions as an obsolete means of reaching the masses. Something better may replace it and interplanetary reach may be the new norm. Hence in my opinion currently tv ads are better than newspaper ads.

I think advertisements involving visual elements are more powerful than those involving words, because our sight perceives information more strikingly than our other senses.
@bhavyakapoor37405 жыл бұрын
Advertisement is one of the the major source of spreading information in my country. I would definitely say that TV is better option for Advertisement because it is faster and easily accesible and especially when the advertisment about a product is done by some figureheads, it seems to be more effective. On the other hand, I can say that newspapers and magazines are also providing key information in advertisements for few decades now, but in recent times, where everything is digitalized, benefits of advertisements on TV clearly outweighs the benefits of ads in newspaper .
@Lovethelifebyp3 жыл бұрын
Well, I believe that visual ads with audio, video are more powerful because we can find it a little bit engaging as well this type of ad is not skippable. So must watch it till the end. On the other side, newspaper ads are easy to ignore or not have any emotional touches. So yes, I think TV advertisements are much more powerful and engaging than paper base ads.

I think advertisements made on TV are more powerful than that on newspapers because any thing watched or listened to lasts longer than articles read. Further more, TVs are watched occasionally and the same adverts are been played frequently which makes whatever is advertised stick longer in the head than the advertisement on newspapers that are often read.

Q : what types of advertisements are more powerful, the ones on TV or the ones in newspapers? A: From these two advertisement methods i think that tv is the dominating one, because you are not only being able to visualize it but you can also hear it, so i would assume it has the biggest impact.Of course newspapers have their impact too, but i believe there are not as many people that are buying newspapers right now as they were in the past.

What i think about that is advertising through TV is more powerful than news paper because in TV ads they explained everything detail and a person will understand much better by visualization of anything rather than it is written on something, but in this contemporary era their are some people who likes to read News paper specially at morning time except watching TV so we should always keep this point in mind too. Answer to the question: Actually, if I had to make a choice between them, the answer is too easy. It is definatelty TV. But there is another powerful tool to advertise and very effective on people. It calls influcers or social media. I can accept that this phenomenon is appealing to generation Z mostly. But the middle-aged people also are trying to catch the new trends on internet and searching the current events. Nowadays, when the TV show went for a commercial break on TV, I believe that 90% of the people start to follow up the updates in social media.

Thats an interesting question. I would say that the advertisements on TV are probably more powerful because you are engaged to watch and listen to what is being said. TV advertisements also have the added advantage of being able to play music along with the particular advertisement, making the advert that much more emotionally engaging. On the other hand TV adverts are also quite short, which means you can run through them pretty clickly on a single viewing. Newspaper ads on the other hand don't just disappear, they are on a page and you can read them several times over to get the message of what is being said. Even so, I would say that TV adverts have more of an impact on viewers than Newspaper adverts.
@susmitasovapal89335 жыл бұрын
Well, I think the tv advertisements are more powerful because we see both live audio and visual effects , which is more appealing than news advertising. Customers are attracted effectively through the message sent from seller without any hassle. I’m going to attend next week . And thanks for all great thoughts and insights for exam. I got really less time but hope to do good .

I personally think that the television advertisement is much more effective than the advertisement in the newspapers. The newspaper advertising uses text or images or a combination of both which targets the visual senses whereas the television advertisement uses motion pictures which have an effect on the audio-visual senses of the audience.
@kendricka29935 жыл бұрын
Hmmm, that's a difficult one. Well, some people turn to believe that newspaper advertisement by far supersedes TV advertisements. This is because , most people are very busy with their work nowadays and would rather grab a newspaper on their way to walk or have it delivered at the comfort of their homes so as to take a look on their freetime. This is not so for TV advertisements as less and less workers are watching TV lately. I personally think that, TV advertisements are far more captivating than that of newspapers. They make the product more appealing and focus on the audio~visual senses of the audience.

That is a good question. For me, I believe that advertisement is more powerful in television because most people nowadays are into TV than newspapers. There are a lot of audiences who can be a possible customers.

I would say advertisements on TV are more effective rather then the newspaper, is because in TV it has more interactive presentation, It communicates with all the level of consumers even with a kid. In newspaper ads are more static and lot of either do not buy a news paper or have any access to them, But at least even once in a week or in the weekend we manage sometimes to watch one or more tv shows or movies on TV.

My answer to the question - What types of advertisements are more powerful, the ones on TV or the ones in newspaper? Personally, I believe that TV advertisements definitely have more effect on the audience than newspaper advertisements. The reason being, advertisements on TV can be shown using vibrant and attractive colors, can be more thematic and innovative to appeal to people. As compared to newspapers, TV contents are dynamic in nature and help the viewers to understand more about the product or service.

Well,advertisement on tv as well as newspaper have a similar role to play,significantly attracting customers.however,advertisements on tv are having visuals and audio alongwith,thus convenient for people to know about the new product in the market,while newspaper reflect very little information about that.hence,tv advertisements are much better in contrast to those in newspapers or magazines😊

Personally I think the most powerful advertisement is those on TVs because apart from hearing the advert you also have the opportunity to see the product itself and sometimes they also demonstrate on how to use the product

When it is about saving water. I recall a statement I made in my last MUN conference in 2020! I said people might save water if they take bath and wash their clothes in ponds rather in shower. Everyone laughed out!

Well, I believe that the advert which we see on television has more impact on the audiences mind as opposed to the ones in newspaper. The advertisement on television are generally promotional videos giving a better image and information of the product whereas the newspaper though carries a picture and information doesn't do much to leave an impact. Also, we are living in technology driven era where very less population reads newspaper as they can access news on their laptops or mobiles. So, anyways Television advertisements are more successful.
@Gojosatoru__152 жыл бұрын
Well, in my opinion, the television advertisements are more powerful than the ones in the newspapers in a sense that most people tend to spend most of their time watching TV than reading papers. Moreover, the advertising companies introduce more appealing aspects on TVs with colorful and vibrant components, which tend to be eye-catching and attention worthy. On the flip side, newspaper advertisements occupy lesser space and individuals mostly, ignore the parts focusing on news with bigger headings.

If mentioning the drawbacks of advertising,the idiom used can be..'all that glitters is not gold'...precisely mentioning that they mislead the customers..
