Had my speaking test on 26th December. I was asked to describe my house and the corner of my house I like the most and why. Second part was describe a talent I think I am bestowed with. Third part was my opinion on how good or bad it is to live in a noisy neighbourhood and any silent place I like to go and spend my time in. I scored 8 bands in speaking in my very first attempt. All thanks to you, Asiya for the phrases you covered in one of your videos.

Just for sharing, I was asked questions about planting in the second part and the examiner further elaborated to agriculture and chemical regulations on farming by government. Not too hard but I think much more unfamiliar to most people than the 4 topics included in the video. The exam was on 9th January.

7 Jan speaking test Part 1: Study or work? Did you studied geography in school? What intresting things you have learned about geography in school? Which country geography you find intresting & why? [He asked me alot, I remember these so far, will share more when I remeber]. Part 2: Describe a person's home which you like while visit their home: 1. Who is the person 2. Where it is located 3. What are most interesting things u saw there How often do you visit there and for what purpose. Part 3: 1. In your oponion, what are the things which make a home beautiful. 2. If someone live in the appartment having multiple buildings, is it advantageous or not? why/why not So far, I remember these.

Hi Asiya, your videos are amazing, and thank you for sharing so much to properly prepare for IELTS. I have a question: Usually, I give simple, straightforward answers to Part 1 questions, kind of the same as you show us as sample answers, without much complications. When I practice using ChatGPT and using your answers or mine to determine the possible band score I would get, it always shows from 6.5-7. So, my question is, would you say these sample answers provided could get us a band score of 8 and does AI make it a little bit overcomplicated? Simply, would we get a band score of 8 by giving, for example, exactly the same answers as you provide, or is it more like a band 7, and for band 8 we have to make these answers more complicated a bit?

Out of all the practice tests I have attended I find this Speaking test both funny and frustrating.. I mean how far can one be prepared to make up for vague and not so straight forward questions.. The other 3 parts of IELTS sound meaningful to practice.. Nothing to downgrade Madam Asiya.. But, I feel it is better to speak out of your heart on various opinion based questionnaire than to develop some stories to make the interviewer feel good..

Hi there! This depends on your university deadlines. For the UK, I'd suggest submitting your applications now and sending your IELTS when you have it in March. In other countries, the application system may be different

Just got my IELTS results earlier this morning. I can say that the videos are useful to get the general idea of what I should do for the test. I only had 1 week to prepare, but I somehow managed to get overall band 8 on my first attempt. Like she says in the videos, look out for traps, learn how to paraphrase and don’t forget to give the conclusion (I ran out of time to give the conclusion which made my scores suffer a bit in the speaking section). Looking forward to watching the videos again in 2 years and thank you for the help.
