Thanks a lot! I would like to ask you a question about using inversion or the first conditional sentences. For example: 1.Not only did the team learn about modern husbandary, but also participated in seminars on the business of zoo and theme park operations and logistic. 2.If the management team is sent to San Diego'sfamed fascilities for specialized training, it will upgrade the zoo's operational structure and ensure the best possible care for both its animals and their handlers. In your view, can using these structures improve the exam score?

How many complex sentences do we need for a 7.0 in task 1 Academic guys? The criteria said "a wide variety of complex structures", so I think immediately of having 2-3 complex sentences. I don't think it is possible to write a compound-complex in task 1due to how much information that sentence structure "eat up" in just 1 sentence.

Hello Adam. Thanks for your amazing lessons. In this video in the sentence at 15:20, can I write " whose best selling book, The Garden, has been on......" instead of " whose best selling book The Garden has been on......". If both are correct which one is preferred? Thanks.
@raya.hussein6 жыл бұрын
Hi Adam, in the sentence " the author, whose best selling book....... , has announced the release date ....." isn't the adjective clause here defining the author so we don't need commas it is not a modifying clause

Hello. Adam. I think you are one of the best teachers I have ever met! Thanks a lot for your teaching. I am an English teacher in Korea. But I have to study a lot since it is not my own language. I have been learning a lot of things from you. I appreciate it! Will you do me a favor ? In Korea, we have a big test like SAT test but.. I believe many of articles in the English test are too difficult for Korean high school students and some of them are totally wrong. Can you look over the paper, choose one of the English sentences, and explain what is wrong and right? I believe some of them in the papaer do not make even sense at all because they are not even translated into Korean. Will you help me?

Excuse me, sir. I would like to ask about the function of because clause. I think it is an adverbial clause, and it functions as an adverb. Therefore, I am wondering if the following sentence is correct: Just because it is expensive does not mean it is good. I don’t know where the subject of the verb”does not mean.” Thank you for your time.
