So very sorry this has happened. I really hope LV makes this up to you by fixing your bag properly and replacing your lock. I have the Iena MM in DE and your definitely right about the lock...no tarnish. Again, I'm really sorry this has happened. It shouldn't even be an issue with the amount we pay for these items. I don't know if you've ever considered this or are open to another brand but I'll put ut out there incase you are....Coach sells an all leather bag that looks exactly like the Iena and it's beautiful. I'm seriously considering ordering one to look at and compare. Again, just putting it out there for your consideration. Sending positive vibes your way for a better day Tiff.💞

Oh Girl!! Let me tell you! I got the same problem with my brand new toiletry 19 pouch. The red varnishing on the leather tap had start to peel and split. Like no dude. I only had that pouch for like 3 days and I am not rough on my item at all. I took it in and ask for a refund and they’re like oh that’s just normal wear and tear. No!! It’s freaken defective. I have the delightful pochette (if anyone remember that item from like 10 years ago) that has the same red varnishing and it still look great. Don’t be making excuses and not refunding us for a defective products that your company puts out. Anyways they did refunded me in the end. Tips: make sure to inspect your items very thoroughly before actually paying for the item. Even if it takes an hour or two! Not only are the items expensive for canvas (which is just woven cotton). Repairing something that you have is even more expensive! Humph! Lv have been my favorite brand in the past for me. Now it’s all disappointment!

Just want to add that I got the palm spring too and it went back to the store within a week. The zipper was not smooth and it had put some pressure on the canvas that is attached, which can lead to peeling. The glazing on the straps are not glazed equally. Some of the spots were thin and some were thick. The little holes that u use to shorten the strap started to split etc. $2k bag that comes with so much problem. I don’t absolutely need this bag in a life and it totally not worth it for me to stress about it. Sorry for the ranting post 😂 I just couldn’t stop after watching this video!

After more than a few mishaps in repairs, I've decided that the quality and craftsmanship has went down. My mother has Louis Vuitton bags from the 80's and 90's that have not required as many repairs as mine from the 2000's. She's carried her Trocadero since the 90's and only needed a zipper repaired. I now only buy vintage pre-loved. So glad your shop did the right thing 👏.

Honestly I would just get rid of this bag completely! I did that with my Pochette Metis. They recalled it and I already had it reglazed once so I decided its going to continually be a problem so I am done! You will continue to have a problem and eventually they will not fix it anymore for free so I would just get store credit and get something else. I traded my Pochette Metis for the marignan and am so glad I did. Will never look back and don't miss that bag.

I totally agree with you. The patina doesn't look that bad. But the other 2 issues = really sloppy work. I'm not one to think that not even a single stitch can be out of place, but that is unbelievable. I can't believe that they allowed that to leave their facility.

I’ve had many issues with my Iena as well and all LV could offer was to replace the straps. I refused because at the time my bag was still new and it didn’t make sense. I don’t really use my bag that much but I know how frustrating it is to spend $$$ on a poor quality bag.

After my pochette metis and josephine wallet were deemed defective and replaced, I have decided that LV is just not up there for quality anymore (sadly). So now I'm just taking a break from LV and jumping on the Coach bandwagon =D positive experience so far with my 1941 pieces. BTW, if you want to color match the new vachetta, you could try neatsfoot oil. I did it for my Noe and it worked perfectly (see my Noe repair tips video). I say if LV wants our money, then they better step up their game! Good luck, Tiff!

I had a problem with my speedy 30 when I first bought years ago after I used the bag for few months the piping around the bag was rubbed so bad and wire came out hanging. I was very gentle with my bag , I later realized the pipe was kinda outward that prone to easier rubbed onto the surface, I went to store in LA where I purchased they didn’t want to fix it so I bought my bag along to my trip to Vegas. SA was nice she shipped to San Francisco to replace piping around the bag and bag was still under warranty so it was free but it took about over a month.

I think you should send it back now vs waiting for it to mess up. I get you want your bag and don’t want to wait again but wouldn’t it upset you to wear it knowing it’s not perfect? Especially since it’s a special bag for you. I don’t think I’d wait. What if that manager leaves and in a year when it messes up the new manager doesn’t do anything for you. But ultimately it’s what you decide and makes you happy.

The closest store to me is an hour and a half away and both have treated me like garbage. I'm just going to keep it and deal with it If something worse goes on, I will talk to my SA in austin who has dealt with me on this. I just don't want to deal with those other stores again. They were too rude.

I’d take them both back. Personally that repair is unacceptable. It looks like they rushed it. And for the backpack, I wouldn’t want it to get any worse before I took it in. Then they might say it’s user error or too much wear and tear. That’s just me though.

That is terrible! The fix wasn't even that good. I know how it feels to have to wait so long for something. I recently got a Dior bag and had to send it in for repair (for the first time) due to some color transfers. They were really nice about it and shipped it to fix. However, I sent it in end of May and am still waiting to hear back today (Aug 1st!). I just want my bag back and fixed. I've only used it for 1 day! Anyway, hope you find a good solution to yours as I will with mine.

This is so sad to see the quality of LV go down so much. You have had too many issues with new bags that in my opinion, maybe stick to vintage ones. I know, some styles you can't get but at the same time, what's the point of buying new if so many of them end up with problems. I only buy Prada and Mulberry now but only directly from the stores so I can check the quality, or MK really cheap on Ebay where if it's not great it doesn't matter and if you chose right, the leather and quality is amazing. I'm so over the drop in quality from so many top end designers. Good luck, I hope you get it sorted satisfactorily.

I had the Iena mm damier ebene and I sent it back twice to Louis Vuitton for my straps to be repaired. Then I recently noticed that the bottom of my bag was wearing which is unusual for a bag that Is only two years old. Long story short they gave me the option to trade in my bag for a brand new one. I wanted to love this bag but two many problems

That's super frustrating! I really hope they make things right with you. The two repairs I had done at LV came back with new damage caused by the repair people!! I was upset that they were so careless and returned my items damaged as if I wouldn't notice. My SA was very nice about it and sent the items back to be repaired again. It took a very long time to repair the damage they caused. I lost a lot of confidence in buying from Louis Vuitton after that.

LouisVuittonCoffeeLver I use it for a week or two then go to another bag. I’m pretty easy on my bags though. But there’s so many people that have issues with the PM and others that don’t. I think it’s worth trying another one. I’ve heard people having issues with bags after 2/3 uses so I do believe there could be problems with different lots.

It's sad and so frustrating that an luxury brand repair service don't work carefully enough. Is their no quality control anymore? If you want the complete vachetta replaced why don't they do it? You will pay for it! Unfortunately, their quality demands on themselves seem to have completely disappeared. I am also unhappy with their repair and customer service. Before I send them my bag, I will think twice,even If I should buy something new from LV.

I own several LVs and the reason I purchased them is because of the guaranty of quality. It concerns me that the newer designs seem to have so many problems. And that might be why it’s taking so long to get them back from repair - the high volume of repair requests due to faulty design or workmanship. They need to quality control those repairs. That’s ridiculous.

I have many LV bags, but none of them needed repairs so far. Only XL bandouliere had a missing piece and I had to wait for a few months for replacement. I hope they send you the lock and keys sooner rather than later.

I sent my bolougne to get repaired and they tore the leather on the corners. I sent it back again and they replaced all the leather, and then ended up cracking the canvas. They had to give me credit because they don’t make it anymore either. And my hubby had bought it for me for Xmas and I loved that bag. I’m still bummed about it.

Makes me seriously contemplate whether or not to purchase anything new, and stick to vintage and preloved!!! Sadly its the design house that I fell in love with years ago...and that hasn't faded. Maybe you could get a refund, and purchase it in a different canvas, or a new bag altogether? Or, if you really love it, send it back for repair, and then get the rest of the vachetta replaced. I have this bag, but I keep mine zipped close. Good Luck!

Tami B they did offer me a credit. I didn’t even ask they were just so nice about it all but to be honest I don’t want a refund or another bag. This is the one bag my husband bought me and it really holds a lot of sentimental value to me 😫😫😫

LV claims, as most luxury brands, that their prices are reflective to the bags being hand made and made of quality products, but yet here you are again with a crappy repair aside from having other bags being defective. Soooo unacceptable!

LV needs to pirate the people who make coach. Been watching videos about the Cassie and owners are saying the craftmanship is impeccable. For how much you pay for a brandnew bag from LV, the least they could do is to be more mindful of their work.

They didn’t charge me to fix it as it was a defect The canvas is wearing beautifully. The handles are another story. What is happening to your canvas???

Girl, your SA shouldn’t have called you to pick up that mess! 😡 She should have immediately sent it back. Thankfully, I haven’t had problems with any of my bags but it still annoys me that there are so many quality issues. Good luck. 😩

Waenett Myers they sent it to me from Texas. They wanted to just send it back but I didn’t want to wait longer. So they def wanted to do the right thing. I’m just sick of being without my stuff. The whole situation makes me so upset

Tiff I am so sorry they did this to your Iena ,I know that bag is extremely special to you , your clearly not ranting , I thought you were almost going to cry at the end from being so upset . My Pochette Métis was in repair for almost 6 month total , I only had it for 4 months at the time it started having issues , my SA at the time sent me a photo of the replaced flap with a brand new white vachetta handle and I had asked the same thing you did , to have the other leather parts also replaced to match once I found out the flap was being replaced I immediately knew it was going to happen , I offered to pay for the other pArts since they weren’t the issue on the bag , she said it would all get replaced and match ,free of charge ! Well it didn’t and I made her send it back and it took another 3 months from the almost 3 months I had already waited for it ! As you know when I got it back I wound up selling it because I was oddly pissed off at the bag and Afraid all of the same issues would happen again. I saw the photos of your backpack and I agree yours is wearing rather fast , I am pretty sure I got mine before you got yours and mine doesn’t have that kind of wear at all , I even checked the bottom corners after seeing your picture . I have been seeing the Palm Springs pm in mono popping up on the site along with the pochette Métis in mono and the reverse pochette Métis also , so these bags are still being made , I don’t even know what advice to give you at this point because it’s just an ongoing issue with the brand , I think it’s sad where their quality control is today . Just makes me really want to steer clear from LV for awhile until they get their quality under control , if they ever do ! Good luck babes ! 🥰🥰

Lee Lee LV yeah it really bothers me. I don’t get why it’s happening. The straps are the raw leather this time! That’s one plus but man they are sharp lol. Yeah your Métis was bullshit. That shouldn’t have happened either. You def got your Palm Springs before me because you talked me into buying it 🤣 I did almost cry. I had such a bad day and that was icing on the cake right there.

Ugh I’m so sorry! You waited wayyyyy too long for this bag to be returned and have some of the repairs not fixed! Especially the ones you had requested. 3 months! And the lock!! 😳 yes half assed repair! I hope they expedite this second repair!
