An employer seeing that you have no previous work experience, most of the time, will not hire you. So finding an entry level job or some low paying job, instead of going to college, is usually the best idea. When it comes to connections - you're not going to find many valuable ones in college. But you are likely to find meaningful connections while working, be it through clients or colleagues.
