FOR ME Ariana is better, I prefer her tone. why? I think Demi's voice when she hits high note is too raspy and most of the time her vibrato sounds really uncontrolled (maybe it's not but it sounds like it) and really often her voice cracks cause she's trying too hard, sometimes she tries to reach a note way to high and her note sounds like a scream (especially in stone cold) but for me Ariana has a soft and at the same time powerful voice SOMETIMES she hits high notes that sounds like a scream or seems too high (for exemple in Dangerous Woman) but her vibrato is always on point and doesn't sound uncontrolled, like never. So that's why

Alexe Labonté I totally agree with what you said about Ariana and demi, but Demi has some strengths that Ariana doesn’t, and Ariana has some strengths that demi doesn’t have. Like, for instance, Demi’s great breath control, and Ariana has bad breath control.

By a technical perspective it's like this D5: Demi Eb5: Both E5: Both (sounded different because of tone) F5: ariana G5: Both G#5: Ari (her note) Notes not in this vid usually are C5: DEMI (her note) C#5: usually Demi but ariana has changed her mixing in her voice so both now. A5: Demi, ariana hasn't really sustained a good A5. Sorry Not Sorry really made A5 one of Demi's signature notes. Bb5: Ariana, Demi has barely scratched the surface of that note but Ari has sustained it. And well too. Hope u guys agree!

So many people are biased in the comment sections 😂😂😂. IMO, Demi is pretty strong and shows emotion. She knows what she's capable of. Ariana likes to belt a lot and sometimes fail. Ariana is going to get worse down her career, or even in a few years. Demi is really good and clear on her notes.

Ariana and demi are both equal in my opinion. Demi has some pitch issues. Ariana doesn’t. Ariana doesn’t resonate. Demi resonates. Ariana strains less than demi though on her unsupported belts. idk they are equal to me, and according to critic of music they both have a B-.
