The only voice actor who's still around is Joe's. All of the other main voice actor's have sadly passed apart from some like Carlos' (s2) and Yoko's (s2). Also, I feel like a remake would ruin AnJ or at least they wouldn't be able to capture what anj really is. It's perfect as it is right now and it doesn't really fit in with today's anime.

Like sorry to say that but AnJ fanbase is so small that it’s just not worth. They even made a Megalo Box (garbage parody) which was supposed to be a ASHITA NO JOE 50th anniversary project and it turned out that it got more popular as an independent title than Joe. Like there is a higher chance for next Megalo Shit 10 seasons than for any remake especially a good one for AnJ

No lo sé, no me gustaria que cambien cosas como el soundtrack o que cambien el diseño de los personajes aunque sea solo ligeramente para que los personajes se vean mas atractivos para un público actual o la censura que le pondrían, en especial al pasado de Kim-Yong Bi, entre otras cosas, este anime/manga merece más reconocimiento en la actualidad pero un remake creo que no sería una solución. No dudo en que con AnJ se haría un espectacular trabajo y siendo algo más fiel en muchas escenas al manga (la verdad no me gusta como adaptaron las escenas finales del manga al anime, qué es esa mamada de mostrar las reacciones del público y todos a la muerte de Joe, el manga trata de retratarte qué al público no le interesaba como estuviera el perdedor más que el ganador, lo crudo del boxeo en ese entonces y hoy en día, y el misterio de saber que ocurre después de la mítica final página de Joe sentado en la esquina). Realmente no le vendría mal en lo absoluto ser remasterizado, MA bien le ayudaría a tener más alcance hoy en día y a ser valorado por en esta generación por la excelente obra literaria qué es.

The artwork is beautiful as well . I'm trying to find the artbook for season 2 of Ashita No Joe but it's really hard to find. There's alot of really neet moments that are animated in a very creative way . Which I adore . ❤

Definitely cool, but I appreciate the older version for just how insanely raw it was. I'd prefer it doesn't get remastered, since the clean linework and upgraded cinematography and flashiness of the dust clouds, steam, and action lines would make too much visual noise. I watched like 10 minutes of the first episode. You can tell how aged it is. It’s still visually appealing for media in that era. la verdad estaria interesante, pero deberia mantener la escencia de ashita no joe, y tener un estilo propio, por que vamos, es innegable que los animes antiguos que trataban sobre peleas (en general) a veces se veian toscos, y con la animacion de hoy en dia se notaria la fluidez en los combates, pero por mi parte seria solo eso, que se vea fluidez en los combates, como si se verdad se sintiera que 2 hombres subieron al ring a darlo todo y que al final solo uno sera el vencedor, pero que lo demas se mantenga, megalobox hizo lo suyo en si, y esa animacion que rememora el estilo del anime del pasado pero le da la fluidez del anime actual fue una cosa increible, literalmente podria hacer eso con ashita no joe, hacer que mantenga su estilo tirando a lo antiguo, pero que se vea como si todo estuviera animado y no que te pusieran imagenes estaticas con apenas un movimiento de camara para decir "mira, movimiento, esta animado"

what about a continuation instead of a remake? lets say joe was in like a coma or was close to death maybe even talked to rikishi for a brief moment remembering all of his battles and fights with him remembering his promise to rikishi of becoming one of the best professional boxers, I was honestly thinking making the bridge gym and yokos gyms become one to maybe exploit joes and miss Yoko unfinished relationship and joe has to become a more tactical/ less of a reckless fighter and more of a refined of the basics and cautious/smarter boxer making his way up to basically become the next rikishi of course the idea sounds half baked but please let me know what you think?
