@kennygates11928 жыл бұрын
deanml116 Exactly. Honestly if St Anger was in E, and had 80's style production with solos, it probably would have been praised just as much
@FixxxerZ78 жыл бұрын
Blame? The production of HTSD is amazing. I wouldn't want to listen to the same album all over again. This version is interesting, but I prefer the original. The only album with a horrible sound was St. Anger (but that album didn't even have good songs) and Death Magnetic had its problems, but it wasn't that bad.
@deanml1168 жыл бұрын
FixxxerZ7 Guitars have no color to them. They're too thin/ too low of gain, the mid is turned up too high when it should be scooped, the treble is too high, and too much presence. Drums are fine, but sometimes a little bit too loud. Bass is nearly non-existing, which would be kinda okay if James layered guitars like their old albums to fill that void. Nothing really blends together and sounds smooth. I'm not saying it has to be an exact copy of the black album production or any of that. It would just be nice to have a polished result, which HTSD has come closer to than Death Magnetic, but still hasn't quite hit. I don't want to hear the same album either, I just want... I expect one of the biggest bands in the world to have the best sound engineers employed. I don't think it's too much to ask. I love this album, but the sound has me still desiring more.
