Whilst I completely agree for prayers to return to schools, we need to exercise caution. Scripture commands that genuine Christians should not be equally yoked with unbelievers. The starting point should be a restoration of the 10 commandments in schools. The purpose of the Law according to Galatians 3 verse 25 was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. The key question is what will be prayed about? Who will be leading such prayers? Any prayer by a non Christian will just be a waste of time, because Isaiah 59 verse informs us that God will not hear such prayer because "But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear."

Hello everyone 🙂. I don't scroll comments often. But even with the tiny amount that I do scroll I have seen many people who are posting and commenting about the recent US election. Many people are rejoicing, and many people are angry, fearful, and upset. Not only in the US but around the world. What is most concerning to me is how many professing christians are rejoicing as if somehow a new savior is now the leader of the most powerful country of this age. Equally concerning is that some christians are fearful of this man. I see so much division and hatred in my country. I am not a political person, but I do vote, it is my responsibility as a citizen. But, I have a much higher responsibility, to Jesus Christ, my only Savior, Lord and King. I neither fear nor look to any mere man or woman, no political leader in this present world for salvation. To be clear, I didn't vote for bigger government, or liberal "values." So called values that often don't align with my faith. Again, to be clear, I voted against a man of low character, a man whose life, statements, and actions reveal him to be the opposite of Jesus Christ. Personally I think America has made a mistake. And my opinion, for what it's worth, is that many christians are in error (on both political sides) for putting too much faith in political parties, and in this case, placing their hope in a flawed man. However, God Himself allows leaders in power, he allows them to lead for a time. I accept this, as it is my duty to God in Christ Jesus. I trust God. I doubt God is in heaven shaking His head about this election. He has a plan. Trust Him. Hope in His Son. Period.

Why deflect? No one said anything about Biden or Harris, clearly they would never be a good candidate for the Christian to support. The point I’m trying to make is that biblically speaking Christians would be discerning to be more skeptical of those who just simply say they’re operating in our best interest. It would be just like the devil to deceive Christians into believing we have an advocate in the president. I’m of the belief that if there is no good choice than you simply are not biblically obligated to make one. God does expect to swallow to force feeding of mainstream politics. I agree with what you said, Damon, because if you put your faith and trust in a politician, regardless of what party they're for, you are worshipping them and not Yeshua. 1John 2:15-17 sums it up perfectly. If you read the Bible, you can see clearly that we are in the end times and despite who might be in office, we are headed for rough seas most likely. That's what the Bible prepares us for. So don't think that any politician is going to get you out of it because it's in God's word. This is exactly why I don't go to church because I'm not interested in having some preacher put his spin on the Bible and try to pump it in my head. I would rather read it for myself and get the word direct from the Almighty's mouth.
