i just turned 22 a few weeks ago, and this song brings me back to my old minecraft days in a nostalgic way but also to the present moment where the last few years i’ve fell in love with shoegaze and of course naturally changed a lot as a person, so its kind of like a bittersweet combination. im writing this because right now in my life, in this moment, i feel somewhat good, and excited and hopeful about the future, but deep down still depressed and its such a weird, melancholic, but sort of nice optimistic feeling. with all i’ve gone through i still feel like the best has yet to come and this year will showcase that even though i still feel very alone and heavy at times. i really hope to meet more people i can connect with and share my loves and interests with, and i hope to flourish and feel like i finally have a strong purpose im fulfilling this year. im writing this for anyone else who relates, who loves this kind of music, or finds themselves in a similar melancholic place where they may feel hopeful for once even though they are yet still struggling. im here for you all and if you found this video it means something, im sure
