You know Dave, I am one of your most envious fans! LOL I was thrilled you did JT and Fogelberg favs. Never did I think outside that box. And here you are.... Nailing it again! Thank you as always! And just in case you might consider staying in the DG space a little longer..... There are so many not so accurate lessons on the 1970 studio single of "Make It With You". Jimmy's electric parts are so much easier to pick out and nail. But David's acoustic parts are quite ambiguous at times. Hint Hint! Always a pleasure!

One must play guitar before trying to learn this beautiful David Gates song. And “Learn” is the word for me. The chord changes, chorus, verse, and ending are, again: for me, challenging. This lesson is well done and we all thank you. If you will pardon my presumption ; would it be asking too much for a lesson/session of “Carolina on my Mind” done in the same way? I’ll wager it would surely go over big time.
@DOBacousticguitar11 ай бұрын
Thanks very much David! The fact that James himself teaches Carolina on his KZbin channel holds me back from developing a new lesson, but I will still keep your suggestion in mind, so thanks again!

If a picture paints a thousand words, Then why can't I paint you? The words will never show the you I've come to know. If a face could launch a thousand ships, Then where am I to go? There's no one home but you, You're all that's left me too. And when my love for life is running dry, You come and pour yourself on me. If a man could be two places at one time, I'd be with you. Tomorrow and today, beside you all the way. If the world should stop revolving spinning slowly down to die, I'd spend the end with you. And when the world was through, Then one by one the stars would all go out, Then you and I would simply fly away Terjemahkan ke bahasa Indonesia

With you singing it in the wrong register like that, it makes it hard to follow, esp. the closing part. Nonetheless, I have played it using more traditional fingering for decades, but I prefer your style, as I often play using similar jazz chord voicings. Took me 2 minutes to learn that way. I very much appreciate it. Take care.
