I love that you had a reason behind the resorting and it actually makes sense since there’s no way all the houses would lose the same amount of people. Slytherin Probably lost the most with how they were on the “bad side” since most of the family’s were for the dark lord some of the kids either left, got punished, or died/injured during the war. Also putting Harry in was a smart move from the sorting hat, if the “goodest” person in the world is in your house it would definitely help you and it would help them get their statues make up. Also XD is Snape was alive Harry would probably laugh and say “you can’t talk random amount of points from me now can you lol” 😂

I actually prefer Hermione more as a Ravenclaw, her being brave does not make her any more of a Gryffindor and any less of a Ravenclaw. She's witty and a fast thinker, matching up pretty well with Ravenclaws. And Luna being in Hufflepuff wouldn't make any sense. Sure she has a soft personality but she's just a very adaptable ad understanding person who is able to read ppl like it's nothing being as "sane" as she is. When you compare her to the other Hufflepuff's seen (Tonks and Cedric) she has nothing in common with them. Like Cho Chang who is also a Ravenclaw she is calm, and though ppl don't want to admit it or believe it smart. And not to mention how creative she is. I believe Hermione wasn't sorted into Ravenclaw because J.K Rowling favorites Gryffindor since Gryffindor earned the stereotype as the good guys. And Ronald rlly wasn't anything like a Gryffindor either. He wasn't necessarily brave in most the movies, he was more just there for comedic relief.

@@qur_vrlrd yes! It'd be the best way to show the differences when it comes to the houses, and show that stereotypes do not truly matter when it comes to friendships. Like the whole idea Slytherins hate Hufflepuffs, Gryffindors and Slytherins despise each other, Ravenclaws don't like ppl, and plus it'll give the different houses the attention they deserve. Hufflepuff and Ravenclaw specifically. (These are all things ppl have claimed) (Edit) And something else, it'll completely switch the idea of all Slytherins being completely evil.

I think Hermoine isnt in RavenClaw and instead in Gryffindor is because Gryffindor values courage while RavenClaw values wit. Now, you might be thinking what I mean, since Hermoine is very intelligent, but what I mean is 'Mione has ignored the 'logical' way out of dangerous situations just to help out her friends or do things their way and not always boss in. Sometimes Hermione knew it wasn't really the right thing to be done, such as brewing the Polyjuice in Book 2, but she still went along with it headstrong, ignoring the fact that brewing it could possibly be illegal, just to attempt to save her friends and the students of Hogwarts. This I feel is what gives her true Gryffindor courage instead of RavenClaw wit or logic.

reasons why they aren't in the other houses: Ravenclaw values wit, cleverness, and creativity. Hermione isn't creative as she usually follows books word for word. Hufflepuff is usually known for loyalty, but as you see a lot of time, Ron isn't *that* loyal and is very emotional and fickle. Not to say he isn't loyal to Harry and Hermione, just that growing up he was raised as all of his siblings' shadow and it transfered over to the other Hogwarts students, but he obviously got better as he grew up. Gryffindors have the *loudest* personality, they get the most attention as they do things very emotionally and instinctually (Harry's saving people thing/sacrificing himself a lot, Hermione's need for validation and wanting to be right all the time, Ron's small but loud emotional range and, though he's great at Chess and would probably be a good leader, his priorities are definitely selfish and prove otherwise). Being sorted to a house when you're still developing mentally and emotionally can literally pave the way. Harry showed equal opportunity for each of the 4 houses, so if he had been sorted into any of them, he would've grown to be more like that house. He forced the hat in choosing Gryffindor, so he ended up even more of a Gryffindor, and the same likely would've happened with the other houses, as kids usually take traits from the people they're growing up around the most. Luna as Hufflepuff makes no sense to me, but only because I can never see her as anything but a Ravenclaw; the most creative one at that, as she is very open-minded and most definitely a seer of some sort, but who knows, maybe she could've been a Hufflepuff all this time and we just never thought of it.
