I am black from west Africa. We are 95% muslim in my country. Nigeria has one of the largest muslim population in the world. He should not worry about "heritage". Africans have been muslim for ages and honestly IMAN is more important than "culture". We are all brothers and sisters. Wa salam

The problem is in reality there is no such race as "Black". If its purely based on skin color I can point to many South Asians who are darker than so called "Black" people. If its genetics, well then Africa is the most diverse genetically speaking. The definitions of White, Black, etc. has changed over time and different depending on the perspective of the culture/ethnic groupm

@@heerarodriguez9563Yes truly that's just completely biased why you have to different people from their color? Don't judge them from their Color look at their behaviour. And still then you can't judge all people of common physicality apperance from one person. Because in the end you can't judge all people becouse you don't know everyone.

Quran 3:106 On the day when ( sone) faces will be whitened and (some) faces will be blackened: and as for those whose faces have blackened it will be said unto them: disbelieved ye after your (profession of) belief? @Johnny let me guess this is the first time you have seen this because I did read the tafsir for the ayat, apparently YOU HAVE NOT!!!! ibn Abbas say what the ayat is saying. Here is JalalaynThe day when some faces are blackened and some faces whitened That is the day of resurrection. As fir thise whose faces are blackened, these being the disbelievers, who are thrown into the hellfire... If you're not satisfied, let's do Q 27:82. This is about the Dabba( the beast) who will emerge with the staff of Moses and the ring of salmon on judgment day. " He will hit you on your head, a white spot on your face, which will spread until all his face is shining white as a result, and then there will be no disbeliever left without making a black spot on his face, which will spread until all his face is black. Not satisfied] here is Al - Tirmidhi hadith # 38 Allah's messenger said: this talks about when Allah created the offspring. He struck the right shoulder of Adam and created the white offspring, as they were whit ants, they are for paradise and he struck the left shoulder and created the black offspring as if they were charcoal, they are for hell. Let's see if you're Noble enough to apologize to me.

Satan knows Christianity is fake therefore all Satanist are mocking the ✝ by putting it upside down. In so many demonic possession movies we see the demon over powers the cross & then mocks the cross by turning it upside down during the exorcism it's not a coincidence 🤔 $atan & $anta have the same 5 Letters in them ? it's not a coincidence 🤔 Christianity is based around a blood Sacrifice just as Satanism is it's not a coincidence 🤔 Christianity & Satanism are linked with drinking blood ( Mark 14 : 22 - 24 ) Jesus Blood.

What good questions! "What will islam do for me?" And whether you'd have to give up your identity. Islam is pure and true. It gives us grounding, and hope in the wildest of storms. Islam gives you worth, a value and purpose in life. You dont have to lose your identity when you accept islam. You simply perfect it. You leave out what which is detrimental, that which is displeasing to your Creator, and adopt deeds which brings you closer to Him. You can keep everything of your culture that is not forbidden. Sports, food, clothing, language. But leave out the gambling, the pork, the revealing clothes and vulgar words. Islam perfects and beautifies. I loved this brother's questions, and found the answers to be brilliant! May the brother be blessed with guidance and contentment, and may Allah reward all those who are doing their best to give dawah, ameen

Even more weird when I see brothers in England wearing them cause that country definitely doesn’t have the climate for wearing thawb. It looks way too cold lol so yeah some Muslims try adopt arab culture and think it’s Islamic for some reason

*Hamilton A. R. Gibb,* the historian on Orientalism, stated: “But Islam has a still further service to render to the cause of humanity. It stands after all nearer to the real East than Europe does, and it possesses a magnificent tradition of inter-racial understanding and cooperation. No other society has such arecord of success uniting in an equality of status, of opportunity, and of endeavours so many and so various races of mankind…Islam has still the power to reconcile apparently irreconcilable elements of race and tradition. If ever the opposition of the great societies of East and West is to be replaced by cooperation, the mediation of Islam is an indispensable condition. In its hands lies very largely the solution of the problem with which Europe is faced in its relation with East. If they unite, the hope of a peaceful issue is immeasurably enhanced. But if Europe, by rejecting the cooperation of Islam, throws it into the arms of its rivals, the issue can only be disastrous for both.” {Hamilton A. R. Gibb. Whither Islam. London, 1932, p. 379}

We have all this in Islam and yet I find Muslims to be biased. I go to a Mosque in Indiana for the past 20 years and its full of Arabs and you can never be friends with them. Even the Imam of the mosque is the same way. If you are of Arab origin or western born he is nice to them or acknowledges them. But if you are of South Asian origin he will give you a cold shoulder. I guess it's more him but in general I find Muslims to be less friendly. Thank goodness I found a Mosque of more Indians and Pakistanis, I feel more respected and know people. In the other Mosque full of Arabs you always feel you are a stranger no matter what. Prophet (pbuh) was a Prophet, very intelligent man, he told us so many times to avoid bias or racism or nationality or origin. Sadly our Arab brothers and sisters IMHO are very biased.

As a black man your knowledge has to come from Africa? That really is the path to ignorance. You take knowledge from wherever it comes. And after the initial concerns of racism at the beginning you're going to make a statement like that smh.

27mins 50 secs "as a black person my knowledge has to stem from Africa"? Who taught him that rubbish? There's no way he could even live by that statement much less believe it. And why go back only as far as Egypt? Because going further back isn't easy? There is less and less known about earlier nations the further back you go. So, why should Egypt have the truth? Because he's limited as to how far back he can go? Ridiculous. He should hold to knowledge, critical thinking and logic not colour. However, he appears sincere. May Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala grant him guidance.

If I Become Muslim Will I Lose My Heritage & Culture? Quite possibly "YES." I have had friends at the mosque encourage me to give up my name for a "Muslim" name or an Arabic name. I said "I will not commit a sin and jeopardise my salvation by changing my name". They said "how would that happen?" I answered "because that would be disrespecting my mother who gave me my name and my salvation lies at her feet." SILENCE.

My friend, among all the people I saw converting to Islam in my country or in any other country, none of them were forced to leave their original names unless he chose to change it according to his personal conviction. Also, no one has the right or authority to ask a person who converts to Islam to change his name, whatever it is. silanes .

@@MustafaAli-bm1ew I didn't say "forced" I said "asked" and I don't understand what you mean by "authority to ask"? I was asked "why don't you have a Muslim name?" I said "I do, its Jeff." My mum gave me the name and whilst no one "forces" the reverts that did change their name, they were encouraged to do it and not discouraged from it. When some revert from anglo saxon land becomes Muslims (I think) it is against the sunnah to change their name and that never comes up.

Muslim is not a culture. As long as there is no conflict between culture and Islam. You can wear eat anything as long as it is not haraam. Do not even have to change your name but many people do.

Yeah because racism is a real thing…if you haven’t lived your life as they experience it then you won’t understand…unfortunately there are some racists muslims who discriminate even amongst themselves…. So do not invalidate how they feel!

That is understandable knowing what happened to black people throughout history. They still suffer from that horrendous legacy. You have to walk in their shoes. 😢

*Hamilton A. R. Gibb,* the historian on Orientalism, stated: “But Islam has a still further service to render to the cause of humanity. It stands after all nearer to the real East than Europe does, and it possesses a magnificent tradition of inter-racial understanding and cooperation. No other society has such arecord of success uniting in an equality of status, of opportunity, and of endeavours so many and so various races of mankind…Islam has still the power to reconcile apparently irreconcilable elements of race and tradition. If ever the opposition of the great societies of East and West is to be replaced by cooperation, the mediation of Islam is an indispensable condition. In its hands lies very largely the solution of the problem with which Europe is faced in its relation with East. If they unite, the hope of a peaceful issue is immeasurably enhanced. But if Europe, by rejecting the cooperation of Islam, throws it into the arms of its rivals, the issue can only be disastrous for both.” {Hamilton A. R. Gibb. Whither Islam. London, 1932, p. 379}
