This tip basically was a missing puzzle piece and helped me get out of loop land and made me flesh out actual tracks where the listener stays engaged by printing and adding ‘variations’ to sounds.

Another cool tip is using melodyne to extract the midi from a certain sound. Or using the bass of a sample to find the root notes of the chords

I just use Melodine or RipX to work out how melodies are made. I can then export them as midi and I'm done with it in seconds. I might need to touch up some midi notes but it's super quick and precise.

quick question, when making melodies from various instrumentss/synths into a rendered audio file, what do you do when someone purchases tracked out stems? do you send the melody as is rendered or go back and send as individual instruments
