If I could Rework Omen | Paladins Concept

Hey, I am an aspiring game designer and I love paladins and... I may... have a 60 page google document full of character ideas, talents, cards and all, however, I have focused more on the mechanics of the characters instead of lore, but I haven't posted the ideas anywhere, but this would be a neat idea that I'd love to see One of my characters is another goblin, altho she has no Ruckus bot, she instead has a gokart, a pair of shotguns and tosses out mechanical rats with sawblades, and as mentioned, she got talents, cards and all

18:16 not gonna lie, i liked the idea of sniper shotgun Omen, it reminded me of using the slugs for the double barrel shotgun in Modern Warfare, i think just keeping the deft hands item out of use in this talent, while also not leaving it permanently in Penumbra mode, could be interesting, tho with the changes you mention, it would make the shotgun version unusable, maybe after pressing certain button you could change the setting of the weapons from shotgun to rifle would be interesting, but that seems more complicated

after omen was fixed he feels fine tbh. I agree that umbral lance is his best and most viable talent (it's the only one I use because I need that consistency) but I see a lot of people play binary void. TBH his card more more more! is one of those very impactful cards that kinda feels like an own talent (BK's jolt or inara's summit are other examples that come to mind) so that's something. I sure would like to see the other 2 talents reworked but idk if anything is worth losing that sweet umbral lance consistency tbh. and there are other characters that imo need new talents way more like koga or yagorath... is what I said before watching the video^^ after watching I must say you have some great ideas but in the end I'll probably still always pick the 2nd talent

I kinda feel that Zhin also needs better talents, because they're just so boring, like change Smoulder to: hold jump during Billow to float upwards, increase Billow's duration by 0.5s. And Yomi to: Whirl leaves a trail of fire. Gilliutine I feel is okay but needs something more too, beacuse, otherwise you're kinda playing without a talent, maybe you get bonus damage against people on high killstreaks or maybe the fist item you buy is free (yeah, buy item then swap talent, I recognize that exploit, but then you could maybe go into debt or something)

For Koga pls leave alone his talents, except the Ultimate talent

@@mirius4665 so the problem with him is that only AJ is really viable. and I think it should be put into basekit tbh. dragon fangs can stay (and maybe get a little tweak) and the other 2 talents can be changed to provide different playstyles

If you going to run the talent for two deadly domains…you should add the card that give him shields at level 5 and then buy the Guardian item to maximize it. Other than that ..i agree with the changes as a whole especially his fire rate

The real issue is they gave him the same shotgun system as buck. Now instead of having to land pellets your getting a jank ass system that guarantees damage instead of at least getting close to land pellets. That's what was wrong with his old shotgun it had that system where it was more accurate and slightly more fair then they did this.

Honestly I myself can make a whole video on reworking cards,talents and kits myself. With balance in mind.issue is that their on a bad engine and I can't work my magic on it.keep working your magic tho yellow!
