I don't know how it works in your country, but in Poland, all information about your plates, except the country (obviously), city and district the car is registered in, are strictly protected. In Poland there's no need to hide your registration, because in theory no one outside of the government, can get your info from your plates.

If you revisit this concept, you could add a rule where you get to swap out one component in the tuning menu for each build- or maybe two components, to make it possible to change front+rear pairs for stuff like suspension.
