I'm glad y'all didn't get "offended" like some of the other reactors did. Tom legit said he was sitting in a restaurant and saw a black male with dreads and said if I was black I would want my hair exactly like that and that's basically what sparked the concept of the whole song. It wasn't something he had planned to do like there was no other reason for doing it. No pandering or any shit like that. It was literally just a spur of the moment idea.

Loved your reaction. Tom and Nova lived in South Central L.A. for a number of years. They were scraping by and when their electricity was cut-off Tom used to have to run an extension cord to his neighbors house to keep his fridge running so that the food didn't spoil. In 2017, while smoking his last cigarette on his porch he wrote the song 'Dear Rappers'. He went inside and told Nova that he just wrote the song that will turn their life around. Tom created the sound to go with the lyrics and for a video all Nova had was a red light bulb. The crazy thing is Nova was still able to capture the raw emotion of the song. They borrowed money from family, friends, neighbors to pay for an advertisement on youtube. A couple of days later the song blew up. Tom used to play songs for his neighbors to test them out first before releasing them. A couple of years later he moved out of the hood. He wrote a song about moving called "sellout". Still lives in L.A.
