love that an ancient blood curse is canonically the justification for style battles, nikki lore goes wild. Nikki, the only dress up franchise where your fashion friend who you’ve journeyed with gets brutally stabbed and DIES.

I have played a few hours of IN and “I” didn’t know about the blood curse. I don’t know if they have implemented that explanation yet.

I'm like 90% sure this have takes place in an alternate timeline from both love and shining Nikki and Shining Nikki doesn't have a blood curse in it anyway due to Nikki going backwards in time 600 years in attempt to prevent the destruction of miraland anyway. I would refrain from assuming the blood curse applies to this game until proven otherwise.

I'm actually not sure if the Blood Curse is a thing in this version of Miraland (its an alternate universe from Love and Shining). Its explained in an in-game book that Styling Contests are basically magic contests, demonstrations of Whim as well as fashion. Whim fuels Ability Outfits, which according to another in-game book have nigh-infinite uses, from construction, to purification, to war. Sovereign Duels show it best, but winning a Styling Contest is basically saying 'My magic is stronger than yours.' And powerful magic users can quite literally blow away their enemies. In fact, Stylists used to be called Whimancers before Ability Outfits were fully developed.

If the theory that this takes place much much after SN in the Miraland timeline is accurate, then the blood curse maybe never even happened, since the timeline was changed by Nikki trying to save the world. I also wonder if since The Abyss's name gets changed from 1000+ years of time, I wonder if Styling Power becoming Whim is the same circumstance (same thing diff name).

Infinity Nikki feels like they straight up "stole" assets from Genshin Impact, it's hilarious. Compare the fonts and aesthetics. Surprised this game didn't come from Hoyoverse.

I heard they got a BotW dev (Kentaro Tominaga) on the team. Considering Hoyoverse has explicitly stated Genshin was inspired by BotW it’s not surprising there’s similarities

The assets are not stolen genshin and hoyoverse games just use the same user interface premade assets as infinity nikki, anyone can purchase and use them for commercial use I saw the exact genshin home settings layout on a few different games asset sites ppl need to quit the pitting genshin and nikki against each other nikki series has been running for almost a decade longer than genshin like some of these takes are really reaching
