Isn't chosen more about responsibility than favoritism? I love that the Rabbi said that the antisemite should not be jealous of their Jewish friends, but to be proud. I'm blessed that I have two close non Jewish friends who are happy that I am best friends with them.

The responsibility was to bring the word of God to the world but the rabbis rebelled against God. Israel failed partly in this (they kept the oracles of God pure so they didn't fail in this but failed in their evangelical mission, they will get a new chance to finish the mission though in a couple of years). Another group was then raised up, the Christians, the wild olive branch that was grafted into Israels Olive tree, that has been bring the oracles of God (the word of God the KJV) to the world and his message of Salvation through the Jewish Messiah Jesus Christ, the only man that ever kept the law of God and they crucified him for doing it. Hallelujah.

@@HaleyMary Yahweh started as a savage tribal god. When he didn’t provide victory his followers had to find an excuse; obviously it had to be their ‘sinfulness’, just as other primitive people blamed the failure of the gods on mistakes by their witch-doctor. The Jews aren’t unique: Muslims think they are the ‘best of people’, Christians think they are ‘the elect of God’. The only difference is that Jews think their ethnicity itself is the thing that makes them special. It’s all very obvious hogwash.

I love your programming. I would like to point out that the statement 3:23 that Christianity says that they are now the chosen people is not what the New Testament teaches. It says that we are grafted in. Any Christian that says the Jewish people are no longer God's chosen is wrong. Standing in prayer with Israel, and the Jewish people. 🙏🙏🙏🙏

Exactly. It's also why Christians still (obviously) agree with "Salvation comes from the Jews" - because Jesus the Messiah came from them.

Why Jews are gods beloved & chosen people Q: Who is the most noble/holiest and special people - past present and future, chosen by God and bestowed with all gifts??? A: The Jews because they were chosen for their holiness, a race of priests to incarnate the messiah. “Mystical City of God” by Mary of Agreda, Catholic mystic (1601 - 1667) 145. As the world progressed in its course, in order that the Word might descend from the bosom of the Father and clothe Itself in our mortality, God selected and prepared a chosen and most noble people, the most admirable of past and future times. Within it also He constituted a most illustrious and holy race, from which He was to descend according to the flesh. I will not linger in detailing the genealogy of Christ our Lord, for the account of the holy Evangelists has made that unnecessary. I will only say, in praise of the Most High, that He has shown to me many times the incomparable love, which He bore toward his people, the favors shown to it, and the mysteries and holy Sacraments, which He entrusted to it, as was afterwards made manifest through his holy Church. For at no time has slept nor slumbered He, who has constituted Himself the watcher of Israel (Ps. 120, 4). 146. He reared most holy Prophets and Patriarchs, who in figures and prophecies announced to us from far off, that, which we have now in possession. He wishes us to venerate them, knowing how they esteemed the law of grace and how earnestly they yearned and prayed for it. To this people God manifested his immutable Essence by many revelations, and they again transmitted these revelations to us by the holy Scriptures, containing immense mysteries, which we grasp and learn to know by faith. All of them, however, are brought to perfection and are made certain by the incarnate Word, who transmitted to us the secure rule of faith and the nourishment of the sacred Scriptures in his Church. Although the Prophets and the just ones of that people were not so far favored as to see Christ in his body, they nevertheless experienced the liberality of the Lord, who manifested Himself to them by prophecies and who moved their hearts to pray for his coming and for the Redemption of the whole human race. The consonance and harmony of all these prophecies, mysteries and aspirations of the ancient fathers, were a sweet music to the Most High, which resounded in the secret recesses of the Divinity and which regaled and shortened the time (to speak in a human manner) until He should descend to converse with man. 147. In order not to be detained too much in that, which the Lord has revealed to me regarding this and in order to arrive at the preparations, which the Lord made for sending to the world the incarnate Word and His most holy Mother, I will rehearse these mysteries succinctly according to the order given in the holy Scriptures. Genesis contains that which concerns the beginning and the creation of the world for the human race; the division of the earth, the chastisement and the restoration, the confusion of tongues, and the origin of the chosen race, humbled in Egypt; and the many other great sacraments revealed to Moses by God, in order that we may be led to know his love and the justice towards men from the beginning drawing them to his knowledge and service, and to foreshadow that, which He has resolved to do in the future. 148. The book of Exodus contains what happened in Egypt with the chosen people, the plagues and punishments, which God sent in order to rescue them; their departure and march through the sea; the written law given with such great preparations and wonders; and many other great sacraments, which the Lord provided for his people, visiting now their enemies, now themselves with afflictions, chastising their enemies with the severity of a Judge, correcting the Israelites with the benignity of a Father and teaching them to appreciate his benefits by sending severe hardships. He worked great wonders with the staff of Moses, which prefigured the cross on which the incarnate Word was to be sacrificed as the Lamb, a salvation to many, a ruin to others (Luc, 2, 34). It was like the staff of Moses, and like the Red Sea, the waves of which shielded the people and annihilated the Egyptians. Thus he filled the lives of the saints with joys and sorrows, with hardships and with comforts; with infinite wisdom and providence He symbolized in them the life and the death of Christ our Lord. 149. In the book of the Levites He describes and ordains many sacrifices and ceremonies of the law for placating the Divinity; for they were to point out the Lamb, which was to be immolated for all men; and they pointed out also ourselves, immolated to the Majesty of God in reality, as was prefigured in these sacrifices. It also describes the vestments of Aaron, the High priest and type of Christ, although Christ was not to be of that inferior order but of the order of Melchisedech (Ps. 120,4). 150. The book of Numbers describes the wanderings of the Israelites in the desert, prefiguring what was to happen with the holy Church, with the Onlybegotten as man, and with his most holy Mother; and also with the rest of the just, who, in different aspects, were prefigured in the column of fire, in the manna, in the rock giving forth water. It contains also other great mysteries, which are comprehended in the events there recorded, likewise the mysteries pertaining to numbers, in all of which deep secrets are hidden. 151. Deuteronomy is like a second law, a repetition of the first, but given in a different way and prefiguring more closely the law of the Gospels. For as according to the hidden judgments of God and according to the propriety known to his wisdom, the Incarnation of the Son was to be deferred, He renewed and rearranged these laws in order that they might be more like to those, which He was to establish for his Onlybegotten. 152. Josue or Jesus Nave conducts the people of God into the promised land; he divides the Jordan to allow the passage of the multitudes, achieves great things, typifying plainly the Redeemer as well in name as in deed. His history represents the destruction of the kingdom of the devil, the separation and the division of the good and bad, which will happen in the last day. 153. After Josue, when the people had already come into the possession of the promised and wished-for land, which primarily and appropriately signifies the Church acquired by Jesus Christ through the price of his blood, comes the book of the Judges. These were ordained by God for the government of his people, especially during the wars, which on account of their sins and idolatries were waged against them by the Philistines and other neighboring enemies. From these God freed and delivered them, whenever they returned to God by penance and amendment of life. In it are also related the deeds of Deborah while judging the people and liberating them from great oppression; also those of Jahel, who helped them to victory, mighty and courageous women both. All these deeds of history prefigure and illustrate what was to happen in the Church. 154. After the generation of the Judges came the Kings, for whom the Israelites petitioned in their desire of imitating the government of the surrounding nations. These books contain great mysteries concerning the coming of the Messiah. Heli, the priest, and Saul, the king, prefigure in their death the reprobation of the old law. Sadoc and David, typify the new reign and priesthood of Christ and also the Church with the small number, which were to belong to it in comparison to the rest of men in the world. The other kings of Israel and Juda and their captivities presignify other great mysteries of the holy Church. 155. During the aforesaid times lived the most patient Job, whose words are so mysterious, that there is not one without its profound sacramental meaning concerning the life of Christ our Lord, the resurrection of the dead, the last judgment in the same flesh, in which each one lives, and concerning the violence and astuteness of the demons and their warfare against men. Above all has God placed him as an example of patience for us mortals, for in him we all may learn how we are to bear our adversities; especially as we have before our eyes the death of Christ, whereas this saint saw Him only at such a distance and yet imitated Him so closely. 156. In the writings of the many and great Prophets moreover, which God sent in the time of the kings to provide for special necessities, not one of the great mysteries and sacraments pertaining to the coming of the Messiah and his law, remained undeclared or unrevealed. The same thing, although more at a distance, God accomplished in the ancient Fathers and Patriarchs. In all this He only multiplied the likenesses, and, as it were, the patterns of the incarnate Word, and prearranged and prepared for Him a people, and the law, which He was to teach.

As a mother each and every one is special. They all stand out, each in a different way. I love them all. Sometimes I prefer one over the other, maybe because the one gives me less trouble or is kinder. But I would never show that to them. A mother carries a child for nine months without knowing them. That is the difference in perception.

As a non-Jewish, non-Evangelical American, I like the Rabbi’s take. I’m good with Jews being Hashem’s Chosen People. Jews have paid such a high and painful price throughout history for this “partnership” (as the Rabbi describes it). As the Rabbi says, Jews have been the “Captain of the Ship”-without them there is no Christianity no Islam, and Jews have truly brought light to this world. Now, modern day Israel has a global superpower partner in the US- (“Captain of the Ship” in a worldly sense)-together they make the world as a better place-as Hashem intended….

Shalom Ollie🙏 Joseph bragged to his brothers that G_d had chosen Him for a particular Job. G_d could foresee future events and used Joseph's Big Ego to turn his brothers against him. Cause and effect. We all know how the story ends. There's no doubt Joseph suffered. It is suffering that brings about transformation. He was humbled through his suffering. So refined that he couldn't hold a grudge. Same thing happened to his father Jacob. For me, personally... the old testament represents archetypes, so we can learn from the characters what not to do. The stories also teach us about G_ds grace and Mercy. How He can use a person's weaknesses and bad choices to bring about good outcomes. We did not come to the Earth to worship man ... we came to the Earth to Worship G_d, and to care for one another and the Earth. Collectively we see these weaknesses playing out to this day ... the sons of Jacob taking more than their share (capitalistic monopolies), the sons of Ismael acting like wild donkeys (extremist terrorism), while the sons of Esau seem to have quenched their desire for w_r after accepting Christ's Consciousness. What is one life time when measured against eternity? Did we come here ... to the Earth to acquire, land, treasures, titles, fame ... all meaningless after we're gone. A legacy perhaps. We want to be remembered. Perhaps only if that memory brings about future transformation ... I would love to listen to you interviewing Rabbi Simon Jacobson, he brings a very balanced perspective to the table. Sending Love and Light. 💜🌍🕊🌹🌅

If the oldest sibling has more responsibilities & privileges, are the parents showing favoritism? This is a metaphor because a group isn't an individual. There are plenty of individuals within Judaism who understand their responsibilities, & plenty of individuals who don't. There are righteous individuals among the nations, as well, who go beyond their responsibilities. Before you get into envy, keep these dynamics in mind. Individual by individual it is up to each of us. (This is the grain of truth in secular humanism.)

The Jewish people are the chosen ones. Almighty God says so and that's that Amen. Isaiah chapter 45, verse 4: For the sake of Jacob My servant, and Israel My chosen one, I have also called you by your name; I have given you a title of honour though you have not known Me. NASB version of God's Holy Word. God keeps His promises and He will keep His promise to Abraham regarding Israel. I am a gentile Christian and I love Israel ❤

Very insightful video! I appreciate it! I have a Jewish father and a Gentile mother…. That said, I comprehend that I’m not considered Jewish… Seeing as how both communities operate, I believe (some of) the Gentiles feel (and I personally don’t view it as wrong) that the Israelites/Jews wrote the book that states that they’re Chosen, Chosen by a G-d that Chose them, and that they will be the inheritors of “World To Come”, that they will be (with Moshiach) rulers when that time comes, and that the rest of the world, whether those individual Gentiles like it or not, MUST conform and abide by the rules from this Chosen Nation. That’s what I have come to understand is their perspective.

God gave birth to Israel. He brought them out of slavery into a land He had promised to Abraham. Thru Moses, the Oracles of God, were given. Thru Jesus, a Kinsman Redeemer was given to the Jew first, then the Gentile. Jesus was born a Jew. This is the recognition every Christian must give.

Once again, I'm very glad to see this interview! Very glad to see it moving out of the non-God secularist position. And your rabbi is quite correct in pointing to the really dangerous aspect of the secularist, that the secularist is now playing God. Now comes a concern that this has still not gotten to the focus on God that God deserves. This interaction is on the *people* of God, not on God. May I experiment a bit? Here I am a non-Jew (is that nowadays called "Gentile"), and of a non-significant ethnicity, and a lowly calling. No favoritism evidenced here! Yet I do exist. And my existence is due to God's will and decision and activity on this earth. My significance is assured--in God. My security is assured--in God. My rest and peace are in God. He is the one who may choose to throw me out into the trash ditch, but he does not do so. Even in my final exit from the earth, it will not be the trash dump. That is because of God--who he is in his nature and how he wants to treat his creation. It is God who assures me of that noble "insignificance". He, being God, is my significance. Now I must very humbly take exception to the statements that God's people--children of Israel--have been amazingly loyal. That is very much an arguable point! Quite the reverse is true, according to the Pentateuch, the Prophets, and the Writings. God has been loyal and faithful to his own people--the Jews. And quite grateful to God I am for that faithfulness. And quite glad to God I also am that his people are starting to respond to his faithfulness and loyalty by moving away from idolatry, moving away from secularism, and moving toward representing him. Keep working on this!

At 5:00 if someone is jealous and steals something expensive, its not the fault of the rich guy but the fault of the thieves. Its like saying "its your fault for getting raped". The prophets were chosen based on certain criteria, one that muhammad does not fulfill, and im shocked at how some religions degrade the prophets saying they sinned or did wrong. Also secularism doesnt mean that you are gods to decide, but rather god gave us the opportunity to decide for ourselves. The whole idea of a chosen people is false, the ancient egyptions were very cruel and the jews being saved was because they didnt subscribe to the same society as the ancient egyptions and even some jews still chose to stray. So the truth is there is no chosen. a bunch of individuals decided to build a nation to protect their people and to return to their ancient home free of prosecution and cruelty of humans and implement good values. god never wanted a partner. Sometimes angels will teach the guidance of god, and it is up to humans to follow it, it does not make those humans chosen or a partner. Every guide or help given is in direct opposition to the devil which infiltrates the guides that form the religions today and the cruel society we have today. There is a very specific concept that tells if a religion is from god or devil. The nation of israel has nothing to do with being the chosen or anything, everything to do with practicing good democratic values, its just that the arabs hating on the jews has to do with religion and revenge for their prophet. Hence if christianity says that humans are borned sinned and have sinned even without doing sin, that legitimates the muslims claim about taking revenge for their prophet, something yassir arafat did say (also quoted by this channel). Thus you are innocent till you sin. Both religions have concepts from the devil, not god.

I 100% agree with the Rabbi. Josefh Story is one of the most powerful stories in the Torah indeed. each time I read it I find new nuance that wasn't there before. I think that Jacob saw all his sons qualties as importent as they are, but only in regards to the current and present affairs. Judea and Simon were excelent fighters, Naftaly and Zevulun were the best agricultures, Dan was the best Commerce, Levy was the wisest and so on... Each one had his own unique and powerfull talent that made him the best at what he does to the full extent potentiall and for the community as a whole, but only on the short terms of events and Josefh being almost the youngest brother learned from them all. Josefh ability to predict in 100% accuracy not short terms but long unseeing future outcomes of every choise that going to be made (in the Torah it is written as "Dreams"), and counter it before it's even mannifest into reality, was above all that and Jacob saw that talent very clear. for that he prepered him for leadership instead of Ruben , becouse that's for the most part what's true leadership means! The brothers wronged Josefh by becoming jealous, not becouse they were evil, but becouse they only occuiped themselfs with the "here and now" problems and their own selfish Ego and feelings of inferiority. They were short sighted. as it turned out In the end by doing what they did, they actually brought Josefh's Potential to it's fullest, when he became one of the most powerfull persons in Ancient Egypt after saving the whole region from famine and starvation. There are countless of moral lessons one can take from that story but for the most part: 1. when facing Antisemitism (which is basically the maniffestation of pure irrational jealosy hate toward everything "jewish"), or any other act of senseless hate that accured in the world for that matter, one should not succumb to missery and self pity but needs to take it also as a tool that strengthen his potential to the fullest.and if one is truely genuine and good and pure heart, eventually the world around will accept and recognise that too. 2. Being chosen doesnt mean being "better" then any one else. what it means is being able to see things in a wider perspective from the "here and now present", and to actually do something about it no matter the cost. Being chosen or "Favorite" has it own unimaginable burdens and it's takes alot of sacrifice. not everyone capable for that and it's OK. doesent make someone lesser then some one else. "נצח ישראל לא ישקר"

Thus choseness means when g-d appeared to Abraham and said leave your parents house and come unto a land I'm gonna show you .that right there is when g-d separated Abram called back then from the rest of the world ,exposing him to the ultimate truth hidden in plain sight . G-d had to separate him from the mundane suffocating distractive world in order to elevate him to a higher paradigm, a higher revelation of the way the world is in its raw crude form. The only way he could be shown is disrobing completely of world stimulation via his five senses and look deeper unto the eyes of G-d, the only way Abraham could reach higher realities is by channeling his entire stimulus senses of perception unto a world that no man has ever laid eyes on. Consequently reaching a higher stratosphere of awareness and wisdom the ultimate wisdom of g-d . This happened almost 400 years after the flood when because of the severe ignorance and unawareness, this time g- d chose Abraham and all its descendants to be the voice of g-d . Just so never again will g- d destroy the whole world again . The whole purpose is to bring world wide redemption by merit of hard work of teachings of Torah in order to redeem the world by what's been done for the past 3400 years. It is because of the selfless acts of thousands of rabbis in human history that the world was no yet destroyed like in the flood .because of the deaths of thousands of rabbis the world keeps getting redeemed and redeemed. To be chosen this is what it means to be chosen .rabbis are hardcore soldiers servants of the most high .the suffering servant are the rabbis in all generations that were slain because of the wicked inclination of man . Like I say this is not a path for the weak .for those freeloaders that are scared to get their hands dirty in the raw crude reality of this world. Like so many rabbis has been slain . They know the turmoil of being a. Servant of the mighty one . People keep on hating and being jealous all for the wrong reasons completely ignorant of the reality. They want to raise their low self steem okay , then are you willing to face all challenges and struggles imposed by this world just like thousands if not millions have faced? How much longer is the antisemitism is gonna breed within their ignorance? Is utterly an unfair judgement. G- d never judged the jews the judgement of man judged thousands based on theories and make beliefs. Hashem hurts deeply in his soul by what rabbis endure because of their selflessness. He hurts deeply and extremely but He knows there are greater soldiers of great valor that the rabbis in the world faithfully serving Him. This is why He chose all the descendants of israel . Every other nation all scattered running away like roaches when the light turns on.

Exactly, everyone should be proud that jews withstood the test of time ,all the trials and tribulations, tests ,struggles from every level unimaginable. People hate the choseness if that even is a word. Is easier said than done . They all give lips service but don't follow the law of torah to the letter . So much jealousy, hatred ,envy but g-d offered the Torah to so many nations they all said no . What do you expect? Then hate that they keep rejecting it is all talk and no action .like a poker game . If only they knew the price paid and still due to pay of absolute selflessness. If only they knew the history deep they would all jump of with parachutes to get the hell out . They wouldn't enjoy the ride . Rabbis and rebbes are hardcore servants. I've never seen other people sacrifice so much just for the sake of serving its torah purpose . This is why I don't ever encourage anyone to convert because there is a stigma associated with serving g-d. This is not the road for the weak nor the path . Not for those freeloaders. That just skims the easy part and reject the hard raw part that comes with it . Have you ever had an argument with your wife and were so angry and pissed off and yet you still gotta sleep in the same bed with her . That's what areal relationship with the king of this world is about . The good the bad and the ugly . I say if you wanna feel chosen come into the fold and see for yourself learning all the things that needs to be learned. Eventually you will know the definition of chosen. Is a constant battle of refusal and coming back over and over .that's a relationship with g-d. Face to face . A true soldier will understand tye definition of spiritual service .

sometimes the illusion of favoritism arises in a family from the optimization of operations in a family. family resting and family business are two distinctly different relationship routines and sometimes family members don't want to work for the family business at all for the sake of self-centered longings but if the business turns out to be successful then they usually feel entitled for some reason to the profits of that success simply becuase they are a family member. a story as old as time. to some extent being chosen by Gd in reality really means a person choses Gd.

Captain Obvious says: Chosen could mean required to take on a position of authority i.e: Voted for. (that would be Judha) or it could mean a favourite for more sentimental reasons (that would be Joseph). But of course there have been centuries of work within the breeding-program to develop a people who have the best of both. Thus "Those who bless Israel will be blessed"... because in blessing the authority one blesses the sweetie, and visaversa. How succesful has the breeding programme been? The proof is in the budding.

If you manage to keep the law (which no one but Jesus Christ been able to do) then Deuteronomy 28:1-14 If not... Deuteronomy 28:15-68 and we've seen this play out. Then when you my Jewish friends find out Jesus is the Messiah... the mourning is going to be enormous, around 2000 years of needless suffering. Zechariah 12:9-14 (KJV) And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn. In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon. And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart; The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart; All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart. God bless you Jews may God open your eyes.

At one point in time, after the flood, there were only Gentiles. Out of those Gentiles God chose one man and chose through that one man to make a nation for Himself. God didn't ask anyone's permission to choose Abraham, He didn't have to. This wasn't up for debate, it was the Sovereign choice of a Sovereign God to do as He pleases. Through Abraham and then Isaac and then Jacob and through Jacob the tribes making up the nation God named Israel was established. Are they His favourites, perhaps but they do not get a free pass at anything. In fact just the opposite. Through them God revealed Himself and gave His law with the demand of obedience and the consequences for not obeying; this for our instruction as well for all mankind must answer to this God. There isn't a nation on earth who has had the heavy hand of God on it more than Israel. They have been under the eye of God since day one and will be until the end. Rather it is the Gentiles who have had had it pretty easy compared to the elder brother. Try reading the Parable of the Prodigal with Israel being the elder son and Gentiles being the younger son permitted to go his own way until he came to his senses and returned to the father. God didn't choose the Jews because they were better, He chose them because it was His Sovereign right to choose as He pleases. Favouritism? Can we please refrain from attributing to God the vanity and pettiness of mankind.

People mistake chosen as something good. God chose Abram but Abram first chose God in lieu of the many gods people around him worshiped. He made himself a target for those who felt their gods demanded the deaths of those who refused to worship them. Unfortunately for some religious folks, you know the titles. But they either will say the group calling themselves that group. They don't and won't accept it. Just recently over 5 videos on the topic. I'm not seeking those to be shut down, regardless of their reasons it's understandable for people who don't understand us they've got their own prejudices and misunderstood thoughts of those teaching about us. God-willing they will at one time or another take the time to educate themselves. I know the Russians and Germans had their own reasons for attacking us, destroying us. Maybe one aspect being to see if Ha-Shem would stop heaven and earth to save us. Without realizing the actual test was placed upon them to see how faithful they were to their own words in their writings.

G_d Chose The Jews. Father Abraham was a Jew. The Father of Nations (plural) ... And ALL of Father Abraham's children are Jews. G_d chose that the seed of Father Abraham would be scattered throughout many nations ... too numerous to count. Father Abraham's consciousness can be witnessed through shared values between these nations. There are many similarities. Father Abraham was a man of Chesed. Lol perhaps ... the reason why he had soo many wives and children. 😂. It is an individual that gives gives meaning to a word or label. These meanings have morphed into collectives ie. Religions. Humans like to compartmentalize. They feel safe when they are contained in their little black boxes (Kaba/Tifillin). Why do humans across the globe have such a huge reaction to the Israeli war ... I suspect it's a subconscious remembrance of where it all started. Home. An invisible cord connecting us to Father Abraham. A man of love, kindness and compassion. Perhaps we're all simply trying to find our way back home ... To Love 💟🕊️
