Abby has been the hugest help in my writing journey, more helpful than literally every other person and source and author and piece of info in my entire life combined. I hope she gets allllll the stellar testimonials to use for her book.❤️❤️❤️

Way back in 1999, I was in Grade 8. I wanted NOTHING more than to write novels and stories. My Grade 8 teacher, who was my biggest bully, pushed me away from all my dreams. Any thing I wrote he called "my little works of negativity." It was the worst year of my life. I wrote poetry for highschool but never wrote a fiction again. It's 2021 now, and I blossomed a dream to try again. Now with my trauma and avoidance I didn't know where to start. Then I "met" you. You may not know me or we've never talked personally but I learned so much from you. The basics to the advanced. From brainstorm to hitting the publish button. Not only were you the teacher I needed in life, you are also the link to healing apart of me that told myself I would never be good enough. Don't forget Kate's role in this journey of healing and self publishing aswell. Girl is ALSO a big help, go Kate. But who knew that I would one day be writing for the joy again. I am enough, I am talented, I am a great writer. You taught me that. It's priceless and thank you.

That’s the same year I started writing 1999, I was six years old at the time. 2nd grade, I had nightmares of hell and the torturing of humans for their sins, I got a kick out of the expressions from the teachers face and Aid, they thought I was demonic. Thyself not realizing I was writing about hell, some thought I was the anti christ but when I wrote about love and forgiveness someone in the class would steal my work and take credit for it. Then majority of the class would believe them instead of me… “& I’ll be like I just wrote it, whatever here” it’s odd to this day not much has changed, expect now I’m 31… shunned for the truth of the harsh reality, while others get cheered for stolen works. Life’s not fair… Interestingly are starts began the same year with a similar start.

Cool, and remember that one of Stephen King's Year 8 teachers said, 'why do you write this (horror) crap?' to him. Look at HIM now. :)

I'm glad to hear you got inspired to write again by the teacher you should have had. It's one thing to give helpful, constructive guidance on writing direction and technique, but no teacher should ever treat their students like this, and it's horrible that teachers like this exist. Best of hope for your writing success!
@Benjamin-e7w7e4 сағат бұрын
I agree with what you said, constructive criticism is a way better option, than criticizing someone without a plan to improve their craftsmanship. Although sometimes people use that doubt as fuel to prove their ignorant critics wrong. To each its own I suppose.

I can't share anything... I didn’t win anything, and I didn’t do anything fancy, but I wanted to write my first ever fiction (fanfiction). I was SO overwhelmed and didn’t know WHERE to start, how to start, or what really mattered. That was in the beginning of the year..., I watched your videos, and you gave me enough clarity to start writing. Looking back, it wasn’t even good writing... but without you, I might never have even tried. So, thank you. Thank you for kickstarting me. Thank you for giving me the base knowledge. Thank you for giving me courage.

Your videos are truly a great source of information and formulas, writers can actually and easily use, to not only be better writers, but great writers and publishable. I write (fiction) just for me, and a small group of people, for a means of mental health, and in battling my own personal demons, but who knows... maybe you'll see one of my books in publication someday, and my only hope would be they help YOU in your mental health pursuits. I have never been published, but you helped me realize I have a true passion and helped me see the steps to reach that goal ❤

Likewise, Abbie. You've helped me more than I could ever imagine. Inspired me to write my dream series that I've always wanted to write since I was young. I seriously want to hug you rn

Hey Abbie, thanks to you I've taken up a project to create a visual novel (two of them, actually). There are already two scenarios and I love them so much. One day, I hope, I'll put them out there for people to enjoy. Not only that, I've also remembered that in fact I've always wanted to publish my own books, which impacted my worldview a lot. Thank you ❤

I write mostly fanfiction and original one-page short stories (complete with illustrations). Seeing your videos helped me be able to write better summary/in-depth short stories and more immersive first-person point-of-view fanfictions. This, in turn, makes writing more fun for me (though, to be honest, writing's just a hobby I've chosen to help me cope with a *severely* overactive imagination, but my point still stands). I've especially enjoyed how you brought out the "science" behind every good story; that's actually what made me want to watch your videos even before the pandemic. Thank you for being such an inspiration. I'll be looking out for your book when it comes out. -AppaloosaGirl

Found you a week ago, i have never tough i was good enough to write. I never got good grades in my first, second or third language. But after watching a couple of your videos i got inspired and started to write fantasy for the first time in my life. And in English wich is not my first language. I only wrote non fiction in school cus it was easeier for me to write, not that i was really good at that either.

I'm looking forward to the day I can say Abbie helped make my story matter. I understand the assignment, but I can't fulfill it because I have yet to start that journey. I love and adore you. You have been very inspiring. My story, so far as the impact of your inspiration, has yet to start because of life circumstances. I wrote two fiction novels before finding you. While watching your videos, I wanted to go back and restructure and enhance my work. I have yet to do it. I won't bore you with the details but the circumstances are legit. I will have my day. I will purchase your book. Reading is my preferred learning medium. Your videos are great because you are SO COOL and I love your energy!! So, I'll keep watching.

Hi Abbie!! Your videos about writing were the first to really inspire me to seriously consider writing! I'm 30 now, and i only really started writing for the first time this year, thanks to you. Iv always had a wild imagination, but i didn't really get into reading until about 16-17. Being dyslexic i struggled to even enjoy reading, especially books i was forced to read at school, but i found my genre in fantasy and when i started reading non stop, being pulled into worlds that felt immersive and personal and freeing! i felt a desire to write, but never felt confident enough to really try, never thinking i could be as good as what i read, to spite my imagination! As part of my looming 30's, i decided to cross off some bucket list items, not sure what and when, but then i found your videos. They really inspired me to try, i even dug so deep into personalities and MBI, thanks to your advice, I'm now obsessed with the phycology of people and things and trying to understand who my characters are and how they influence things, so i can do them and the story justice ! I don't know if my book/s (planning for a series) will ever be published and or if ill ever even finish writing one from start to finish at this point... but i never thought id even get as far as i have... I can now spend hours in my fantasy world making notes about people, places, events, lore etc... and im just loving the process so much, i'v even run from the shower to my PC sitting there in a towel because i have to get my thought down!! If and when I'm stumped i can almost always guarantee ill find a video on your page to help me out or just inspire me! so thank you for helping me start this journey. i felt like your videos were simple, so informative and easy for the most basic beginner to feel inspiration to just start! and feeling like my story matters!

Oh, Abbie, I just submitted my story. You have been truly one of the most important reasons why my first book is published in two days (as of now that I’m writing this comment). You taught me so much since the beginning, when I had no foundation to start the author journey, and no one to ask. So I’m really happy I can help with a grain of salt, giving you my story for your non fiction book. I’ll definitely get that book and I hope you continue to succeed ❤❤❤

I remember I was brand new to writing as as any other nine or ten yearold I watched TONS of vids but non of them seem to work well.. that was until I clicked on "How to make a Gripping Hook" or something similar and I was "hook" on your vids since then and now years later I've still been writing... the first time I started was when I was doing a class assignment to write a short story. But I was tried of using a certain amount of words or something similar so I began writing my own stories. You've inspired me in more way than one, thank you Miss Abbie for your awesome work!!!
