Not possible. Take SQUARE ENIX and COD. Those companies still live and have the right to remaster. Black box is gone. EA marketed the game but BB owned the game. So they can't just go on Ghost make most wanted. Nope. Copyrights still apply and it be stealing another companies idea and making it their own.

Also the rights of the need for speed franchise is owned by EA, if they wanted to remaster NFSMW they do have the right to. The only problems a NFSMW remaster would have copyright wise would be licensing, for the cars, (which i doubt would be much of a problem for them) and the music.
